So do I, but these foot/ankle injuries are killing his career.
He's been injured more than fit in the last 3 years I reckon. He's a good footballer and could have a max rooke impact in a final when the going gets tough. Certainly would prefer him to ANB in the side in an elimination final

Assume you are talking about vandenberg?

I agree, we could really use him right now as he can play tall as well. Similar to what hannan is doing now

Yeah I reckon he would be the ideal September specialist. Doesn't have beautiful skills but he can mark. He hits hard and loves tackling. He would suit finals footy better than some of the more pretty players on our list

Article on the age website from yesterday with a quote from Mahoney saying he is unlikely to be back for that game, I just googled it.
You know I hadn't actually seen that article when I posted. I was kinda just being a bit conservative and assuming he wouldn't get up for QB, but that possibly after another week he might be right.

Pretty much what I thought, you don't bring in a 7ft tall bloke with injury history into an AFL game without a solid block of hard training or VFL

Hogan seems like the sort of bloke who would have lost conditioning during his time away, not having a go at the bloke just with his personality not being 100% footy I'm guessing he just got away completely from the game for a little.

Spencer, gee it would be great just to have a big tall bloke to kick long too

That article on VDB mentions he's out of contract at the end of the year. I really hope we re-sign him for a couple more years. I really rate him. Think he could be a really handy extra mid for us. He, Viney and Trac would just be a wrecking ball line-up in the middle. He just needs a good run at it where he can string a block of games together. He'd be best 22 in my books when fit, at the expense of any of Harmes, Tyson or Bugg.

Goodwin said in last nights presser Hogan looks likely for the round 16 game against the blues
