There is "credible evidence" that Australian special forces unlawfully killed 39 people during the Afghan conflict, a long-awaited report has found.
The Australian Defence Force (ADF) has released findings from a four-year inquiry into misconduct by its forces.
The inquiry investigated 57 incidents and heard from more than 300 witnesses.
It had uncovered a "shameful record" of a "warrior culture" by some soldiers, ADF chief General Angus Campbell said.
Nineteen current or former soldiers should be investigated by police over the killings of "prisoners, farmers or civilians" between 2009 and 2013, the report found.
Afghanistan said it had been assured by Australia that it was committed to "ensuring justice".

25 serving or former soldiers had carried out crimes or been "accessories" to them. Most allegations concerned soldiers within the Special Air Service (SAS) elite unit.
Gen Campbell said none of the alleged killings could be "described as being in the heat of battle".
"None were alleged to have occurred in circumstances in which the intent of the perpetrator was unclear, confused or mistaken," he told reporters on Thursday.
"And every person spoken to by the inquiry thoroughly understood the law of armed conflict and the rules of engagement under which they operated.

Now they’ve gone after the soldiers on the front line, might be time to look into the pollies who sent the boys off to an illegal unjust war..

I wonder what’s going with the above story -
Russia is accused of using a secret “microwave weapon” to attack two CIA agents in Australia under a worldwide campaign that has allegedly caused brain injuries to diplomats and spies.

Considering the microwave weapon was most likely crickets..

And even neurologist cast doubt on the original story..

That is literally tinfoil hat stuff. Doesn't mean it isn't true necessarily it might be, but that idea developed as a form of protection against various smf/radiation weapons.

I think your tinfoil hat is sposed to be a personal faraday cage.

Iranians release Moore-Gilbert day after Trump concedes.

War Nerd and Patrick Cockburn reckon Trump did them a favour whacking Solemeini.

He'd got too big for his boots and had to be reined in, especially after the Iraq protests, which was going to be very delicate.

Trump did it for them lol.

Now they can more easily deal with Biden.

Considering the other two it makes sense.

I wonder how many people MBS has ****ed over in SA were connected to 9/11. That was always the elephant in the room and when the people who started the original 9/11 truth movement finally got the chance to sue those they held responsible in SA, 2 and 1/2 years ago, Jamal Kashoggi was the only material witness. I wonder if he had alot of those responsible killed before Kashoggi cos he done some serious purging.

In that sense he seems like a sensible (tho ruthless and nasty,) leader. He'd know that if push comes to shove he is way more vulnerable to Iran than they are to Saudi Arabia, or even the US. Oil infrastructure is incredibly vulnerable during wartime, even at the best of times its vulnerable, during a war even more so. Their entire ability to do anything is based on nothing happening to that vulnerable infrastructure. Its one thing to chase land in Yemen, its another to go toe to toe with a nation that may be more effective militarily than you.

I would suspect that after what - 40 years of chaos? more really but its been crazy since 1980 - everyone (except maybe BiBi) associated with the place just wants some calm and stability.

We’re going to see a war with China in our lifetime aren’t we?

Chicken-s**t one man dictatorship. The people will rise eventually. They always do. He's as corrupt as any and once the populace realises that their emperor has no clothes he'll fall. Never got to the top without making powerful enemies.

We should make some nuclear weapons.

We basically have them.

Been known for a long time we could theoretically make them in a matter of weeks in the event of a major conflict given the envolvement we had with the Poms in developing theirs. Have all the components ready to go.
