Hot on the heels of Trump..

The fact is, we don’t have to be in the Middle East, other than we want to protect Israel. We’ve been very good to Israel. Other than that, we don’t have to be in the Middle East. You know there was a time we needed desperately oil, we don’t need that anymore. We have more than they do, isn’t that nice?

Q) Nvidia acquiring ARM might mean that the US administrations export ban to China prohibits Chinese use of ARM designs?

Which will inevitably push the Chinese towards RISC-V.

WASHINGTON — Michael R. Caputo, the assistant secretary of health for public affairs, apologized Tuesday morning to the health secretary, Alex M. Azar II, and to his staff members for a bizarre and incendiary Facebook outburst in which he accused federal government scientists working on the pandemic of “sedition” and warned of coming violence from left-wing “hit squads.”
He is considering a leave of absence to address physical health problems, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Mr. Caputo, 58, a longtime Trump loyalist, told dozens of staff members in a hastily scheduled meeting that he was under stress because of questions about his physical health and threats to his safety and that of his family. He apologized for embarrassing Mr. Azar and the department.
It was unclear Tuesday whether Mr. Caputo had seriously endangered his job with his soliloquy Sunday night, which drew national attention. Among other statements that alarmed administration critics, he accused the the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of harboring a “resistance unit” dedicated to ousting President Trump, urged his gun-owning followers to buy ammunition because “it’s going to be hard to get” and said his mental health “had definitely failed.”

Browse Patagonia’s online shop, and you’ll find T-shirts condemning Big Oil, encouraging people to vote with planet Earth in mind and declaring that when it comes to wilderness, Americans must “defend it or lose it.”
But the company is getting far more attention for a cheeky, hidden message that appears only on the tag of a limited-edition pair of shorts, in tiny print.
The message: “VOTE THE ASSHOLES OUT.”
The label, which went viral on Twitter, was only the latest Trump-era call to action from Patagonia. The company has responded to the federal government’s environmental rollbacks with increasingly vocal campaigns to protect the country’s public lands — and yes, it says the four-word message applies to the president, along with other politicians who refuse to act on climate change.

Patagonia isn’t alone. As more Americans have taken up hiking, hunting and other forms of outdoor recreation, retailers selling tents, snowboards and weather-resistant jackets have become more politically active over the last few years.

That doesn’t usually take the shape of a profanity-laced political statement. For many companies, it has meant pushing state and federal officials to support greater use of public lands for recreation, as opposed to extractive uses such as mining, logging and oil and gas drilling.

Outdoors enthusiasts aren’t a uniform bunch. They might include Angelenos shopping for tents at REI before hitting the road to Joshua Tree National Park, Phoenix-area suburbanites picking fishing gear at Bass Pro Shops before a road trip to Lake Mead or rural Wyoming residents stocking up on ammunition before heading out for a hunt. They span all political persuasions.

But what they tend to have in common is strong support for policies that protect the places they love.

“These companies are very acutely aware of what their customer base is,” Smith said. “Outdoor recreation and access on public lands really is a bipartisan point of agreement.”

A Chinese military propaganda video simulating a bombing raid used clips from Hollywood blockbusters, including Transformers and The Rock, reports say.

The video shows nuclear-capable H-6 bombers carrying out a simulated attack on what appears to be a US military base on the Pacific island of Guam.

The video was viewed nearly five million times on China's Sina Weibo microblogging platform.

But many users mocked its apparent use of scenes from Hollywood movies.

"It's fortunate that China has no issues with copyright," one joked.

"Stealing from another American film? I just... haha" wrote another user, while a third said: "Don't use clips from these awful countries. People look down on us on Twitter and it drives me crazy."

The two-minute video, called Gods of War - Attack!, was released by China's air force on Saturday.

Set to dramatic music, it shows H-6 bombers launching an attack on what appears to be the US's Andersen Air Force Base.

"We are the defenders of the motherland's aerial security; we have the confidence and ability to always defend the security of the motherland's skies," the air force wrote alongside the video.

But social media users quickly noticed that the video's most dramatic scenes appeared to have been taken from the films Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The Rock and Hurt Locker.

The documents, known as the FinCen files, showed five banks: JPMorgan, Standard Chartered, Deutsche Bank, Barclays and BNY Mellon handled the most illicit funds between 1997 and 2017.

JPMorgan, HSBC and Deutsche Bank facilitated the movement of criminal money even after getting caught, the agency reported.

I've been thinking about this and I dunno if it's true.

US Shale was struggling only two months ago with multiple extraction companies collapsing. It needs a high value per barrel to make it worthwhile.

lithium baby!
Someone’s sold the story of lithium to the world, forget how much we’d need to dig up to replace all the cars in America. Let alone the world, so as fatboy slim would say you’ve come along way baby, unless someone can stick a mine on the moon. We’re gonna need a bigger boat.

it’s almost like all the people who are allowed are only journos, with the same message, so their opinions will be weighted..

Trump calling for pre debate drug test, I believe that’s called projection..

#Allthemannerismsofsnotinadderall

During the last election campaign Trump alleged Hilary had a coke habit and said she should be drug tested and I remember thinking "What about you mate?"

He certainly didn't mention Barry Seal or Mena Airport tho.

That Russiagate link is busted.

That Tom Cruise movie is pretty inaccurate. There is a lot more to that story than is in the public domain. It's vaguely true .... but like so many things in that murky deep state world the truth is probably never gonna come out.

Hmm how bizarre, try copying the link and pasting in browser... basically they’re starting to declassify everything from today..

here it is anyway.

Chairman Graham,
SEP 29 2020
UNCLASSIFIED
In response to your request for Intelligence Community (IC) information related to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Crossfire Hurricane Investigation, I have declassified the following:
• In late July 2016, U.S. intelligence agencies obtained insight into Russian intelligence analysis alleging that U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had approved a campaign plan to stir up a scandal against U.S . Presidential candidate Donald Trump by tying him to Putin and the Russians' hacking of the Democratic National Committee. The IC does not know the accuracy of this allegation or the extent to which the Russian intelligence analysis may reflect exaggeration or fabrication.
• According to his handwritten notes, former Central Intelligence Agency Director Brennan subsequently briefed President Obama and other senior national security officials on the intelligence, including the "alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on July 26, 2016 of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services."
• On 07 September 2016, U.S. intelligence officials forwarded an investigative referral to FBI Director James Corney and Deputy Assistant Director o f Counterintelligence Peter Strzok regarding "U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's approval of a plan concerning U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S . elections as a means o f distracting the public from her use o f a private mail server."
As referenced in his 24 September 2020 letter to your Committee, Attorney General Barr has advised that the disclosure ofthis information will not interfere with ongoing Department of Justice investigations. Additional declassification and public disclosure of related intelligence remains under consideration; however, the IC welcomes the opportunity to provide a classified briefing with further detail at your convenience.
