It's a frustrating series really where we learned nothing.

Our batting sucks especially in tough conditions. Our openers are a huge issue and the alternatives back home are also very bad.

No doubt our batting has been bad but people rarely seem to give credit to quality bowling, it’s always poor batting.

Green gritted it out on a minefield and ended up making almost double the score that we rolled their entire side for.

That 42 is probably worth 150 on a decent batting track.

I happened to wake up at 2:30 am and turned on the cricket. I feel so blessed that I did, to witness Mitchell Stark's bowling - out of here, that was on a different planet. Has to be the most devastating spell of bowling, ever! Just WOW!
I missed the capitulation after tea, Boland's hattrick. Shame! It's a shame Boland hasn't had more opportunities, but when you have Stark, Cummins and Hazelwood as the cartel, it's difficult to get the game time in that he richly deserves.
Have to sort out our batting though!

Green has a fantastic conversion rate in first class cricket. It will come in tests too - keep him up the order and off minefields.

I'm just not convinced he has it mentally to be a 3 at Test level. Would love him 4 or 5 with Smith/Head stepping up the order as senior players.

Hasn't been mentioned yet, but Inglis was subbed in for Carey and took the gloves for the first time in Tests.

Edit: Inglis wasn't an official concussion sub, so he won't be credited with a Test match. He was effectively a fielding sub, which are now allowed to keep wickets.

It is our God given right as Aussies to be nonplused, even disappointed in an overseas series whitewash against another Test nation (first time in the Carribean). Despite winning each Test by over 100 runs on tough batting pitches with our brand new number 3 coming back from a 12 month layoff and ranking 3rd in batting aggregate and our backup bowler chipping in with 6 poles including a hatrick, I am still not impressed, let alone happy.
