Spent some time looking over main board threads from 2000/01 and its amazing to see how its basically all the same shit as whats on it now just with some variations for going further in time.

Main difference being that 11/12 years ago, people tended to use less 'jargon' than today. Less in the way of cliches and weasel words.

Directly related to the fact commentators talked less shit back then. People might ridicule commentators for their crap, but the chances are those same people gobble up more of their lexicon than they would like to admit. Myself included!

He was WOG in the preliminary final, had been down on form before that, so he was probably going to be dropped anyway. A case of jumping before being pushed..

The facts are that Beams was dominant in the last 6 weeks of the H and A season, and then had 2 poor finals games.

Bulldogs need to drop one of their talls - I am unsure why they aren't playing Panos who is a lead up forward - This will give them more variety in attack.

That I50 stat for the two week period is misleading since we made up for the majority of the number in our game vs them. It's also the quality of I50s that matter, if you're constantly getting teams to panick and stagnate with their movement giving them no option but to bomb long into -EV I50 situations it really doesn't matter how many you get in there if the type of ball your getting in there leads you to get flogged the other way quickly.

Top 4 teams will eat the Swans for breakfast if they have so many inside 50 entries.

The Swans got lucky twice !

Doubt it will happen a third time.
