I don't know about that, they always get up for games against the Pies.
It's fair to say we de-railed Carlton's season have not been the same since.
Very sad to see such a proud team humbled so badly.

Even though it would have been preferable for Hawthorn to lose, there was really not much in it for that happening - was always going to end up like this so we might as well take joy in the fact that the loser will be Carlton, and not some other no name team.
With that said, this Hawks win doesn't mean they've got much going for them anyway, plenty of lose-able games in the coming months. No easier fixture than ours.

Tanking culture
Was watching it with my fiancee on TV and she said she felt sorry for Carlton. I said...No...you don't feel sorry for Carlton. I then showed her the end of the 99 prelim final on youtube. Had to nip that one in the bud pretty quick.
