That's because he openly said that he never wanted to be a senior coach. He wants to always remain as an assistant and is happy that way.

I think Caracella falls into the same basket.

A lot of Sheedy's assistants would have done better to have avoided senior roles. Bailey, Shaw, Harvey all have terrific records as assistants, but the senior gigs didn't work out to say the least.

O'Donnell gets to preserve what is surely one of the oddest senior coaching records ever (alongside Bob Rush).
