Even though it would have been preferable for Hawthorn to lose, there was really not much in it for that happening - was always going to end up like this so we might as well take joy in the fact that the loser will be Carlton, and not some other no name team.

With that said, this Hawks win doesn't mean they've got much going for them anyway, plenty of lose-able games in the coming months. No easier fixture than ours.
