He was already playing as a small forward under Knights, more effectively than this year too, for starters.

Yes, he was playing there under Knights but I wouldn't say he was more effective. He had more of an impact purely based on playing more time there. In terms of impact per minute, he's better again this year.

But I guess agree to disagree then. Would like to hear other people's thoughts on this.

Great to see the Richmond bandwagon come to a shuddering halt at the hands of the bottom placed Port Adelaide last night.

Word around town is there were some pretty happy Tiger players celebrating last week after their upset win over an injury hit Essendon. Hopefully those egos received a bit of a bruising last night... a week is a long time in football.

And Richmond as a "Big 4" club? Over 45,000 members and still forced to sell home games interstate. Hope it was worth wiping off some of your massive debt Tigers for the sake of four premiership points. Keep those tins rattling!

Heck yes. Maybe hasn't done as much in midfield as others, which to me is a bit of an over-hyped knock - but in terms of forward flanks he's got it all over Martin.

Fyfe has that wiry toughness about him.

Not explosiveness, but a real classical player. Would equal Bartel atm as the best overhead marking midfielder in the game.

Can do the spectacular e.g. that freakish snap from the boundary line from 40m.

Can't help but compare him to Hird which does sicken me a bit. Would trade just about anyone to get this kid over here. Shame he's a native though.

Apparently this Fyfe kid gets bullied a lot by a lot of the other players at Freo.

Heard it all started with a nickname that he doesn't appreciate, and that he doesn't generally assimilate with the majority of the playing group.

I have no doubt he might want to leave...

Not sure about Fyfe > Martin based on what I've seen so far, but yeah Fyfe > Scully is a pretty easy call to make.
