Pies are ridiculously fit - watched their game today and almost all of their midfielders are supreme gut runners - Swan, Thomas, Pendlebury, Ball etc they just don't stop and it allows them to swarm to every contest and outnumber the opposition. It pains me to say it but the flag is theirs to lose if they can keep a relatively clean bill of health and focus - unless another team rockets into contention...remains to be seen though.

Went to the game, there was a lot for opposition sides to take away from Port's third qtr though. Pies defence looks a bit shaky when they have to play 1 on 1 i thought, Harry O can be exploited if clubs get him a decent marking player to mind. Dawes rise has been huge, wasnt that long ago he was struggling for a game behind John Anthony.

Hopefully his got (Rioli) no hard feelings towards us because we didn't pick him up in the draft, as he clearly said he wanted to be at Essendon in an interview before getting drafted at the Hawks.

Really spewing that we missed him with one pick (if the reports are true Essendon were getting him with 48), looks a very likely type.

Also, think it is Davd Armitage's time, looked good at times, strong body in the and around the stoppages. Injury, or what is made of them last night will have a telling impact on St.Kilda's season and inability to bloody younger players in recent seasons. Watch out for the likes of Steven, Smith, Stanley to come in and expect to dominate from game 1.
