Any hype regarding Richmond will have well and truly burst after tonight. Who wants to bump that thread on the main board that was a comparison of our list vs theirs?

I'm sure f'ing sick of Richmond supporters and their constant comparisons to ourselves that makes them think they are somehow a better list/team than us.

They are an absolute shambles in all areas. They have a couple of very promising midfielders, a very good forward in Riewoldt and then it just all drops off alarmingly.

For a start there is no way they would of been/were capable of making the NAB Cup Grand Final and pushing Collingwood as much as we did, also zero chance of them demolishing the Bulldogs like we did in Round 1 and they would of got smashed in Sydney (as usual) last week when we've been ultra competitive and in winning positions up there in the last two seasons. They can gloat all they like about squeezing out a draw against the Saints last week, but the facts are we've beaten them the last three times.

The hype around Richmond is completely unwarranted. It is going to get much worse for them against Collingwood next week as well.

Sure, maybe 6-10 good players, with Riewoldt and Deledio as real standouts, but from there... geesh it's ugly.

Have a listen to the so called experts who rate their midfield as nearly or potentially on par with Carlton and Collingwood. It's laughable. I just dont see it. They have who? Martin, potential gun. Foley? they say gun, I say in the same boat as Prismall, big wraps but not really proving it, at least Foley can blame injury. Who else? That Tuck is not getting a game is laughable. He aint perfect but he is absolutely in their top 3 mids.

Demons brought it right back, but I'd love to see our boys out there on the G this arvo. I reckon we'd rip Melbourne apart. Dynamic forward line but an average unit overall imo.

Worst piece of commentary for the night was late in the 2nd quarter. Tigs had kicked 2 points in 3 or 4 minutes - "Tigers are right in this contest".

Scoreboard at 57-19 (IIRC). One R Walls.

I'm sure there's more to give somewhere in there, but what we are seeing now is Wallace' sins coming to the fore.
People forget just how many draft picks (not only first rounders) they traded and how few picks they took - traded away a 1st or 2nd pick most years over his reign. The top end will be fine but the depth just isn't there.

EDIT: and ant555's knock on Martin's kicking seems pretty much spot on. Wasted quite a few chances.

Carrying on like pork chops after squeezing out a draw with the Saints on their home ground. "Oh, our list is seriously underrated and talented" , "We are going to beat Essendon in a few weeks time" yada yada yada... they're a rabble.

Last year Dreamtime was over by Quarter Time, if we keep up our form for them there is a genuine possibility it could be Game Over by the ten minute mark of the first quarter. OK, maybe a bit over the top there... but just watch the Pies rip them to complete shreds (15+ goals) this week and put them further back in the doldrums where they belong. Dreamtime could also get ugly for them again this year. We need to underline our superiority over them and that will be a good opportunity, still a fair bit of footy to be played first though...

Heard somewhere that Hardwick wasn't too happy with Riewoldt yelling at Martin on the field for something he'd done as well.

Nick's a bit of a pork chop as well. Didn't shake hands with any of our guys after the game yesterday. Walked off quickly for a bit of a cry. Poor form and poor sportsmanship. Not worthy of Captaincy IMO.
