His 1 on 1 marking for a KPF leaves a lot to be desired imo, and he is very soft given he has the size to throw his weight around in a Hurley type manner (crash packs etc).

Talent he has in spades, but he is enigmatic. He will mezmerise one week and then play a month of poor to average footy. He is too good for the SANFL but only an OK AFL footballer.

And yes, a noted party boy. If Neil Craig couldn't get him to pull his head in I am not sure who could.

Should we get him though I'd wipe the slate clean and give him the benefit of the doubt under a new system. I wouldn't make him a priority target though.

Bit of an Essendon theme but i did not really want to start another Knights thread.

Was thinking yesterday how everyone was saying how brave we where despite going down by 70 points as we had run out of players and had injured guys on the ground and it took me back to a few comments from when Knights was first appointed and the VFL final Bendigo lost after leading by 40 plus points at half time.
At the time several posters where using that as a bad point for Knights saying he should have won that game despite the fact Bendigo started the last quarter with 4 injured players on the bench, 4 injured players on the ground, two of which could only stand in the forward pocket and not run.

Yet here we are and no one is suggesting we should have won the game yesterday, and rightly so.

Funny how things can be seen i different light depending on your opinion of the coach :)

iirc many of the people dumb enough to criticize Knights over that match were opposition supporters with no real idea of anything that happened in the the match aside from the scores at each break. Even the anti-Knights people from the start acknowledged the injures.

And I thought of that match + Carlton during the quarter time break....:(

Haha, true, good point.
Or the 'Knights didn't pick a ruckman': when his options were Christian Bock or a cardboard cutout of Simon Madden...

That calibre of "intellect" is worth exactly the same amount or respect whether they're saying we should beat Collingwood by 100 or saying we have zero good players and they should delist everyone.

Why would anyone want to stay at Melbourne? Despite the city being great, they're a shit club with a shit culture, no coach and an overrated list.

Did you forget anything

Gotta say that losing Davis is catastrophic not just for AFC but the city of Adelaide.

You have problems when you can't keep a SA Boy in SA.

He's from the ACT/NSW.

Moved to SA when he was a teenager.

Still a disaster that SA clubs are losing young players, and can't attract players

Adelaide will be fine.

Port, I'm not so sure.

Port will be fine once they get to Adelaide oval and not have the SANFL screwing them. You have to remember it takes a generation to build the supporter base and they where always going to struggle for members in the first 20 years simply because they where Port and 80% of Adelaide hated them.

Once they start getting the kids coming through who have no real idea about their history in the SANFL as the Magpies and do not have the same hatred for the name then their support base will grow.

They will start to make a bit of money with the new deal and will be able to make a profit on games despite only drawing 15,000 to 25,000.

I guess the mistake was not introducing a neutral side from the start but there was a lot of politics involved at the time and a lot of issues between the AFL and the SANFL.

cats didnt quite get the scoring record last week, but it looks like they might give it another shake today... 18goals at half time...

Nice to see Bachar Houli remains rubbish.

was saying to my richmond mate last week that hes doing the same shit at the tigers that he was doing with us, only difference is he wasnt getting a game with us...
