They're having a big whinge over nothing. There's defending your player but to me Mcginnity got a slap on the wrist and the visual footage looks pretty bad. I just can't believe a grown man would bag someone via their mum. That's year 7 stuff.
Someone made a good point about how you could pretty much get away with anything in the "good old days" but that you could also expect reprisals later in the game.
Maybe they should introduce hockey style one on one fights.

I agree with that personally but I think the umpires were really in close proximaty and the tv cameras did him no favours.

What has this got to do with political correctness.

Insult someone's Mum 20, 30,40,50 or even 100 years ago, and you were likely to get your head knocked off.

I think just about everybody with a sense of sportsmanship does. But the tanking thing's been done.

Hurley has the presence, intensity, clean hands and skill to be a gun forward, but he doesn't have the pace, height/reach and the agility to handle giants who can motor. Lacks the closing speed of a Jamison. CHB would be Hurley's best position as a defender.

Last thing Hurley has at the moment is clean hands. Next time they'll be clean is when they're swabbed before surgery IMHO.

Hurley is also not as good through the midfield as Jimmy Plunkett.
