What is Leading Teams?
It's that people management/leadership company that runs programs for all sorts of organisations.

ie. companies, sporting clubs etc.

They're who Geelong placed so much credit with for 2007. They forced the players to be honest about where "they were at", forced Yablett to pull his finger out etc.

Naturally most other clubs jumped on it, though IIRC Hawthorn and Collingwood refuse to. I think we might not do it, either.

Aker's hatred stems back to being on the end of one of those "honesty sessions". Ultimately he blames it for ending his career; as opposed to losing the trust of his teammates at two separate clubs.

Thanks for that.

Aker really makes you laugh. It's all about him isn't it.

Lloyd has mentioned several times that Leading Teams has visited the club for sessions - Think that lloyd mentioned that it was a failure at EFC - because of the quietness of the player group.

Under the impression that Lloyd questioned the value of Leading Teams.

Foisted. Good word, too.

I think everybody's self involved to a certain extent, but yeah, he does himself no favours.
How so?
People like Aker, Bolt, that ranting chromer in the corner of the train station and so on are only relevant when someone's listening.
He wants people to talk about him, people are talking about him.
+1 to Aker.

Aker does speak well, there is no doubt when it comes down to speaking about the game he does it well. Knowledge just flows out of him. But he lets himself down when he speaks about the Dogs or the Lions. That's what makes me switch the station. If he could completely let that side of things go, he would be a great media person imo.

He'd be a great fit on Footy Classified when either Lyon or Thomas (or both) inevitably put Hutchy in hospital.

I don't even think he speaks that well.

He reminds me of those uneducated kids I see on public transport, trying to sound really smart with big words, but ultimately using a bunch of cliches and emotive language.

I actually think Gary Lyon's intellgience is a bit underrated.

One of the most unattractive qualities in people is their refusal to accept responsibility for themselves. It's always somebody else's fault.

Jason Akermanis eptiomises this ugly trait.

Who rates/doesn't rate Shannon Hurn?

Big kick, big body. Seems to be able to use it well to take big marks in position. Haven't watched him close enough to be really sure but I get the feeling he often plays the Maxwell or Fletcher role, leaving his direct opponent to take a mark or a spoil. But he seems quite good one on one too - kept Crameri quiet for a good period of the game (wasn't on him the whole time).

Sorry, didn't mean as a trade target, just a general question about a non-Essendon player :)
