Ryan didn't cope with the experience as well as some, but Simpson dismissed reports he had walked out on the camp.

"If people are struggling we don't take it any further and Liam struggled," Simpson told reporters.

"It was a physical camp. He's pretty fit, he ran well [on Monday], but he didn't handle it too well at the back end so we pulled him out and we took him home.

"Nothing too sinister. From what I heard reported as well [it] was a bit different than what actually happened.

"It's not 1985. We're not here to break these guys. It was to test them physically and he didn't get through it, but that's OK.

"I'm not too stressed about that."

So they're changing the Bump Rule again and using the Higgins incident as the "test case" for it.

Basically if you elect to bump you get suspended if the person on the end of it gets injured, regardless of how legally or lightly you hit them.

Innocuous isn't a good sign. That generally implies that there's some serious structural issues in the knee/upper leg area that might be hard to overcome. Look at Patton for example. This s**t is ****ed up

Watch him be the first player suspended.

And also ... obviously ... what a stupid bloody idea.

Dear God please give the AFL ebola for Christmas.

The Crows would be licking their lips on the back of the Docherty news. s**t luck for the bloke.

Back to back ACL's means he will never be AA standard again, if he ever gets back on the park in any meaningful way.
