Surely you're taking the piss?
Has been super all year. Again.
Try tagging the bloke, he had 36 and 31 against the Dogs/Saints, with someone sitting on his ass. Out of Lids/Martin/Cotchin, he cops the most attention from a run-with role standpoint and at stoppages in general. He was obviously hindered by a sore knee or ankle tonight, but plugged away.
The only knock on him, with regards to those who anoint him as the next Gary Ablett, is the fact that he lacks the ability to hit the scoreboard. Adding to that his field kicking has been underwhelming and his set shot execution has also been poor for the best part of three years, if we compare him against the elite standard. Which I find quite strange tbh, because as Pykie would attest to, he was one of the
best/purest users of the ball as a junior and throughout TAC Cup footy, and hit the scoreboard frequently.
I'd be looking at Deledio and Martin, whom in the past two weeks, have been gun shy and a little disappointing when the blowtorch has been applied against very good sides.
