There was an article in the last week suggesting the AFL brand was in its worst state ever.
I am unaware of any other sporting code in which the controlling body displays such a regular and strong public presence on pretty much everything to do with the game. I don't know about anyone else, but my understanding of best practice management is to not need to be outspoken on multiple issues and not need to micro-manage everything. Best practice means that everything is set up to run well so that you don't need to defend it and micro-manage it.

It's all about protecting the 'brand'

Just watching the Stevie J hit. How the hell did he get 2? I see absolutely zero high contact in that, good old fashioned bump that collected the upper arm.

The incident was assessed as negligent conduct, medium impact and high contact.

what?

Then the presidents should oust the board.

But you wouldn't get the presidents of the big clubs to do it the suckle at the AFL teat. The presidents of the smaller clubs won't because they have an implicit need for their clubs to survive.

The AFL get away with it because its all money.

Sometimes I think maybe I should just support local footy.

Complete knob of an appointment. A joke from day 1.

Boof'll knock the poof out of Clarke and Co. in a week.
I blame Watson and Johnson, the moment that I read these blokes had introduced scented candles into the dressing rooms I knew Aussie cricket was fooked.

Dougie Walters, Marshie and Boonie would be rolling in their graves.

If Melbourne get a PP it's an absolute disgrace. They can sit in GWS and GC's column of concessions as far as I'm concerned.

I'm all for giving them an end of first round one, so pick #20 after GWS' activated pick, which is nothing to be sneezed at.

Shuey and Fyfe have turned WC and Freo around through good drafting and good development.

The AFL hand out competiton changing decisions like they are wiping their nose. A #1 draft pick is such a huge thing, they are just going to award one because they can, and probably because Melbourne have come crawling to them ffs?

The fact that they traded or delisted, Cook, Morton and Gysberts.

Are destroying the likes of Watts, Trengove, Tapscott, Blease and Straus, all top 20 picks. **** even Toumpas looks half the player he was drafted as and it's only been 6 months.

Have failed to develop Grimes and Sylvia.

The only two success stories at that club are Jones and Frawley.

I just named 12 first round picks, and they are going to just hand them a #1 pick, when they were already getting the second best player in the draft, got Viney as a second rounder last year, and have Jesse Hogan in the VFL?

This competiton is ******.

Crowley has just been added to the MRP list.

Ryan Crowley, Fremantle, has been with a First Offence for pinching ($1200 sanction) for pinching Brent Harvey, North Melbourne, during the first quarter of the Round 13 match between Fremantle and North Melbourne, played at Patersons Stadium on Sunday June 23, 2013.
In summary, he can accept a $900 sanction with an early plea.
A first offence for pinching is a $1200 sanction. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a $900 sanction.

what?
the whole rulings on unfair intentional or sloppy bumps have gone to the pack,

the ruling is rightly there to ping incidents such as the Jake Spencer incident, the 2 JZs , hodges and SJs shouldn’t even be getting cited.
