Watch and learn, Scott.

Malthouse doesn't sit on his hands all match. He is swinging his players all over the ground and suddenly they are back in it.
How damning is it. We sound like broken records and the Scott haters would love this but this is what separates the better coaches from the pack.
Moved Yarran forward. BOG.
Got Thomas to run with Cotchin to get him into the game. Nullified his influence and lifted. Won critical contests.
Rolled the dice and pushed Henderson forward so as to isolate him and Waite more often. And both lifted creating multiple scoring opportunities.
These players were having stinkers yet the coach gave them some belief.
How damning is Carltons fight back compared to us last week. I know our players were off but if you have a tried and proven coach in the box you cant tell me they cant impact the game. Load of bullshit.

So where were all the moves when Port ran all over the top of them.

0-2

Pretty sure they were underdone in round 1. Wonder why Richmond couldnt run all over the top of them tonight? Explain that.
You reckon they were jacked up on EPO at half time? Wouldnt surprise me

Tigers were fortunate tonight.

Ellis >>>> Gibbs.

Thomas has been a nice addition for them. 50 touches and 18 tackles (11 tonight) in 2 games.
Thomas helped a lot. But they should have spent that money on a tall forward. I think Mick's partiality and the opportunity to stick it up Collingwood outweighed logic there.

Ellis is a seriously good player I reckon.

Thomas is a goer, but is is a fumbler by the same token.

It was a weird game. Carlton's disposal in the first half was woeful. Handed Richmond so many chances on goal. Given the amount of play they had in the last qtr they probably should have won.

I reckon the game was decided by Carlton's ineptitude.

How those two are on television I have no idea.

One is off the wall stoopid and the other is just dumb as a box of hammers stoopid.
Perfect to commentate on what was a pretty amusing game. Carlton fail to grab the lead through their own ineptitude and then Richmond put it out of reach with one of the most cue-the-Benny-Hill-music bits of play I can remember.

How can you say that? Vickery's "in ya face" suggested it was about Richmond's exemplary build up and finishing.

Sorry H2H I was referring to the Richmond variety of Thomas, as opposed to the Blue with the bung ankle, who hasn't been as impressive as his lesser known, cheaper namesake.

But I agree on the tall forward. Any key position footballer really.

I reckon the game was decided by Carlton's ineptitude.

Yeah I agree.

Credit to Richmond though, because with 8 minutes to go when Carlton leveled the score, I was sure they wouldn't hold on.

..at least they have plenty of time to get ready for the fiasco that has become Saturday night.

Mick Molloy looked like a fricking bean bag plonked on the end of the desk last week...
