A class player that just put his head down and went to work.

Shouldered the load. No Mitchell, Sewell or Hodge late.

His work-rate, tackling, delivery inside 50 and his inside contested work tonight was great to watch.

The pass to Simpkin, and the centre clearance for the Breust goal. He was huge.

Our mids should be taking notes furiously.

Crackerjack game. Hawks without Mitchell, lost Hodge, pulled that out from nowhere. Essendon are playing very well. Happy to see them lose, always, but that was a good contest to watch.

So so much respect for Burgoyne's game.

Wonderful individual performance.
When Mitchell or Hodge cant do it he does. I reckon he saves his energy for moments when hes needed. He coasts through the year but moments when hes needed hes there. Gun.

Thoughts on clapping off a team after a narrow loss?

I don't think I clapped in any of our 2013 losses.

I couldn't gtfo of the ground quick enough after the Blues loss last year let alone head down to the boundary and clap.
