Awesome game.
Lewis lifted. Roughead took himself to CHB. Class of cyril. How the **** do we become better than these blokes :(
It's a simple but highly effective plan. They got McEvoy for five fifths of not much! FFs not sure how though.

He has such a strong presence around the ground. He's on track for a 120 + marks , 550 plus hit outs 300 disposal and a lazy 70 tackle season.

You have to admire how the Hawks get players to their Club without ever getting reamed.

Imagine if we could have got McEvoy. Traded Goldilocks for plenty....

Anywho I'm dreaming, Breust pick #77, Suckling #70, Liam Shiels #34, Paul Puopolo #66 , Benjamin Stratton #46 , Langford #71

Can't remember what they paid for Gunston, and Lake cost them nought. Brad Hill #33. David Hale...

Am sure the list goes on and on. While we sit there fiddling the Hawks off load draft picks for good players and then snaffle decent players will late picks.

A simple plan, but an highly successful one.

As much as I'd like to dislike the Hawks, I can't help but admire the way they go about their business.

Thoughts on clapping off a team after a narrow loss?

I don't think I clapped in any of our 2013 losses.

I couldn't gtfo of the ground quick enough after the Blues loss last year let alone head down to the boundary and clap.
Agreed. I was too busy wishing death upon the umpires/nic nat to worry about clapping. Let alone multiple games

Yeah the Hawks recruiting is second to none
Heard Clarkson interviewed on SEN this morning and they were asking about recruiting and how they pulled off some deals, specifically Gibson and Macevoy. He was extremely diplomatic about Gibson leaving North - basically said that the big lure was that Hawthorn wanted him to play CHB all the time, while North had Grima and Thompson coming through and were using Gibson in different roles.

Boomer just said on ABC radio that he thinks the GWS have a big future, dont think he would get many arguments from anybody with that call.

I think your missing the point, McEvoy works pretty well with Hale. last night Hales chop out was very impressive, 5 consecutive tapouts when the game was in the balance.

if it were us Goldy would have been knackered by then ( as he always is after rucking 18mins plus) and we would have got slaughtered in the middle.

Port appear to have a plethora of young A-grade type midfielders coming dont they. Some big boys too.
They sure do. They really are getting the most out of their players and jesus christ are they developing quickly. Look to have scary pace and work rate.
