What a bizarre game. Tigers requested to end the game early but the AFL said no so Hardwick just started dragging players until there was 10 left on the field.
Bringing the game into disrepute??

What's the story about Martins old man?
RICHMOND star Dustin Martin’s father Shane has been locked up by police and immigration officials and faces being booted out of Australia over his links to the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang.

The Herald Sun can reveal Shane Martin was detained this morning in south-western Sydney after his residency visa was cancelled over his alleged failure to meet minimum character requirements.

Border Force officials and New South Wales police are understood to have placed him in custody and ordered he be deported to his homeland of New Zealand.

It is alleged he is a high-ranking officials with the Rebels, Australia’s largest bikie gang.

Dustin Martin’s father, Shane Martin, was detained in south-western Sydney.
New laws which came into effect in December 2014 give Immigration Minister Peter Dutton more power to revoke, or refuse to renew, a person’s visa on character grounds.

Asked about Mr Martin’s detention today, Mr Dutton’s spokesman said: “We do not comment on individual cases.

Dan Richardson: 'We just wanted to look after our players. As it turned out, understandably the AFL weren't happy for that'

Dan Richardson: 'We ended up putting players back on, which was only a total of 17 because that's all we had available'

Dan Richardson: 'We were just concerned about our players. Concerned about our lack of rotations. So that was a main focus'

Dan Richardson: 'They need further assessment. Initially Edwards scans look ok. Grigg has a thumb. Conca looks like a decent hamstring tear'

Is Richardson an assistant that was the 'coach' on the night although Hardwick was there? If so, it's extremely piss weak for Hardwick to throw that guy in front of the media to answer for the decisions that you can be sure Hardwick made. He should have shown some leadership for once instead of selfishness and answered the questions regarding his own decisions himself.

Watching the Richmond v Port replay. Tiger supporters booing.

It's a practice match. They're booing.

Practice match.

Booing.

Morons.
Remember those three-way (not the fun ones) NAB fixtures?

Their supporters lost their shit when they lost to us in the first match of the year.

Two twenty minute halves. They were going absolutely postal.

Sure do. NM v Melb v Richmond at Etihad. Famous for Maj's don't argue on Ellis.

I was sitting in the upper deck surrounded by so many morons frothing at the mouth I wished I brought am umbrella.

Between Melbourne supporters en masse dialling Beyond Blue as they realised 5 minutes into their pre-season that they'd be needing counselling again, and Richmond supporters behaving like they'd gone 5 rounds with Cujo, it was a weird weird practice match.

I was talking the year before when it was North/Richmond/Hawthorn.

Still valid however.

Staggering viewing at the moment.

Richmond currently have just 14 players on the field, with injuries mounting. Hardwick is calling players off and not putting anyone on the field.
The thing is watching the first half what I kept thinking was both sides are going too hard. I know it's NAB 3 but still only a practice match.

Can't say I was watching the match, but if it's true that they effectively had no bench due to injuries and asked for the game to be called off..

As much as I hate to support the tigers, in this instance I would. Realistically a team should be able to forfeit a match, any team, especially if they are getting decimated by injuries and it's a ******* practise match of all things.

If I accurately described the scenario, and the AFL said no to calling off the match, then I hope the media, clubs and fans give them hell.
