The pay cut's not being a one size fits all mandate is so ******* dumb.

On the flipside though I better understand what BA meant, in his interview with Damo, when he said they really suit us. We'll probably have bugger all back-ending to do which will helps us in and of itself, but other clubs will probably be forced into a Collingwoodesque situation where they either need to outright salary dump blokes or they have players they are paying well above their output.

Deleted, what did it say?

Watch Buckley go backwards next year without Walsh. Coolingwood bottom 8 easy.

Personally I think most of the issues stem from the egos of Ed and Bucks but playing devil's advocate for a moment, wasn't Walsh supposedly phoning it in during his last year with us? For all we know he's genuinely been part of the problem there too.

Nah. Go have a look at the year Walsh was Football boss and the years he wasn't.
Even when he was with us.

He has an impeccable strikerate. Buckley suffered without him. We suffered when he left.

Port Adelaide premiership coach Mark Williams has secured a prized AFL development coaching role at the Melbourne Football Club.
The Herald Sun understands Williams will team up with Melbourne senior coach Simon Goodwin in a year in which the Demons must make ground after another successful coaching stint in the VFL in recent years.
One of footy’s sharpest minds, his left-field thinking and capacity to coach teams with brutal physicality has drawn widespread acclaim.

But as Williams admits himself, at times his determination to speak his mind and throw up ideas that have challenged footy orthodoxy have rubbed clubs the wrong way at a time when he should still be a senior coach at AFL level.

The 2004 premiership coach was set to be announced as the GWS senior coach after an apprenticeship, but was controversially passed over.

That decision saw him move to Richmond, where he was credited with mentoring the likes of triple-premiership star Dustin Martin, before moving to Werribee in the VFL.

Handed a three-year deal, he took Werribee into the finals in his first year before COVID hit and prevented any AFL action this season.

Melbourne CEO Gary Pert recently told the Herald Sun Goodwin had been backed in as the club’s coach for 2021 but the entire club needed to be more consistent through games and quarters to play finals again.

Good for Choco, was sad when I read we hadn't interviewed him so I'm glad he's not lost to the industry, but how much cash did he slip Ralph for this article?
