Prestia gets a last second free, and the swan bloke boots the ball into the crowd - realistically may not have heard the whistle as there was a roar from the crowd (common sense), but...

Richmond players appealing for 50, moaning and carrying on not once, not twice, but over and over again. The ump ignores them completely even though the correct interpretation would be to reverse the free and pay a series of 50m penalties which would have taken the mark all the way to the goal line at the sydney end of the field.

And Taylor lost his bottle, wrongly claiming that it should have been a richmond 50. What an idiot.

50 is for not returning the ball directly. Technically a 50 - 100%. However, I think common sense decision given the whistle and siren were almost same second. But had the ump paid it he was correct. Not often common sense over rides the rules.

Yep - looking forward to common sense being the new norm for umpiring. Just googling common senes in the AFL rule book and can't find it yet. I like the call but it is wrong. We should run a poll on which player will be the first to yell 'common sense please' at an umpire.
