It's not the time for that stuff.Who's bright fu**in idea is it to play North at the shittiest time slots every weekend when we're not one of the absolute worst teams to watch at the moment?
The game shoves enough ads in as it is, yeah I'm so sure the networks are starved for cash in a time where everyones at home and does nothing but watch junk TV and junk football all day. It's not the time for that stuff.
The AFL and the TV networks want eyes on the game more than ever before. Unfortunately games involving bigger clubs will out rate us no matter how we're playing.
I feel like it's gone to another level though. Collingwood every Thursday/Friday night. You know these time schedules would've been this way no matter what, there is no excuse. Its no different than the times we were playing last year and the year before that.
Ive watched a heap of Geelong over the past decade and a bit. At their best, their ball movement was beautiful. They've never been a fast team, but the ball is quicker than a player, and their ability to play on and use skills to move it through a press was beautiful. Shame.Cats are deplorable to watch. Scared to back themselves to win a contest.
So two hour training drill ensues.
Which indicates it will be massive when it happens, keep in mind they’ve topped up for a fair whileThey've been on the edge of that cliff for half a decade. Seemingly every year they get closer and closer. And yet the bastards refuse to fall off it.
