The AFL and the TV networks want eyes on the game more than ever before. Unfortunately games involving bigger clubs will out rate us no matter how we're playing.

The game shoves enough ads in as it is, yeah I'm so sure the networks are starved for cash in a time where everyones at home and does nothing but watch junk TV and junk football all day.

You know these time schedules would've been this way no matter what, there is no excuse. Its no different than the times we were playing last year and the year before that.

Yet s**t football teams get to play the Thurs/Fri timeslot every week. Even the Saints get a better rub than us and they have closer membership numbers to our own.

Ive watched a heap of Geelong over the past decade and a bit. At their best, their ball movement was beautiful. They've never been a fast team, but the ball is quicker than a player, and their ability to play on and use skills to move it through a press was beautiful. Shame.
