Oh Wellsy, dont change.

Chasing up solid mail this morning that Wells has injured his calf, obviously early in pre season, but a blow given his age collingwoodfc

There was a flood of sms'ers to SEN suggesting it could actually be an Achilles.

If thats the case he may as well pull the pin. Second time and after a likely full year out will be 33 by the time he pulls on the boots again.
Why would Wells do that? He aint in this for the footy. He is in this for the $$$$. :stern look

The text messages they read out were suggesting the same. Whatever he's done, he's going to miss most of the preseason as a minimum and we all know how that tends to play out the following season.

Collingwood are apparently saying there's no injury at all and he left training early as a part of his management plan. Someone's telling porkies, if he has done something, or jumping at shadows, if he isn't injured.

Collingwood should fold.
I'm impressed that as well as being extremely favoured, unlikeable and exploitative of government resources (TAC sponsorships, state facilities, doles etc) as an AFL mens side, they've managed to extend this to rooting up an entire netball league and positioning themselves as the highest profile women's team despite having no real claims to a license based on any of their recent years efforts.

Probably somewhere in the middle.

The problem with Wells, as we are all well aware, these soreness issues tend to hang around. On exposed form, I'd expect to see him back on the track in March, then leaving the field with more soreness in his first VFL game around mid June.

Although this news has perked my interest, usually some grumpy North poster will chime in with "why are we discussing opposition players and ones from the Pies too. Eff off to the Collingwood board"

I'm gonna be that poster today. The ****s I give for Daniel are barren.

Second Roo player they lured with their dirty money and he also gets injured during training. Heh.
Perhaps you could tone the schadenfreude down a notch, Wells has always carried himself with humility and dignity and if indeed he has suffered a serious injury it shouldn't be celebrated despite whatever club he's playing for.

I phrased it horribly wrong but if it's any tiny bit of consolation I mock Collingwood the most.

Or I'm still using people's misfortune to mock the greedy black and white prats. Which is still shitty.
