We have just drafted Murphy, Kennedy, Bower and Edwards. Next they will be given a number for the mighty Blues to wear next year and hopefully for another 10 after that. This is what I think they might be given along with McLaren, Saddington and maybe even someone like Bentick.

1. A.Walker
2. J.Russell
3. M.Murphy
4. L.Livingston
5. J.Kennedy
6. K.Simpson
7. J.Davies
8. L.Whitnall
9. P.Bower
10. D.McLaren
11. B.French
12. M.Lappin
13. L.Blackwell
14. B.Fisher
15. D.Teague
16. A.Bentick
17. S.O'hAilpin
18. J.Saddington
19. E.Betts
20. C.McGrath
21. T.Longmuir
22. C.Chambers
23. A.Hartlett
24. N.Stevens
25. B.Fevola
26. A.De Luca
27. C.Bryan
28. I.Prendergast
29. H.Scotland
30. J.Waite
31. J.Bannister
32. B.Thornton
33. R.Houlihan
34. S.Wiggins
35. A.Raso
36. T.Sporn
37. J.Edwards
38. (r)
39. D.Batson (r)
40. (r)
41. J.Smith (r)
42. (vacant)
43. A.Koutoufides
44. A.Carrazzo
45. A.O'hAilpin (r)

Captain - A.Koutoufides
V/Captain - N.Stevens
D/V/Captain - J.Waite (mybe M.Lappin also)

Probably way off but anyways it is a bit of fun. Have a go and see what numbers you think will be given to which players. Campoerale's number 16 is an interesting one, maybe Bentick will be given it. Carrazzo I think will keep his 44 and Smith will be given a lower number if he is promoted to the senior list next year.

I would think we'll be reserving number 5 for another year.
For Sammy Sheldon? Can this kid play or not? He needs to be an outstanding player/prosepct for us to hold onto no.5 IMO.

Midfielder? Forward? Height? Weight?

16 won't be given to anyone for 2006

campo may not be leaving on the best terms but he is still a carlton premiership player and the #16 jumper will be retired for 2006 season

Was thinking about this morning. If i'm not mistaken, Kennedy wore #18 for WA at the championships. I thought he could have been given 18 for Carlton as well if he wanted it. Agree with Murphy with No.3, not sure No.5 will be given out, and agree with other posters that No.16 will not be used for 2006. Happy with the other number choices though.

OK if everyone's happy with that choice (including giving 18 to Kennedy) then lets submit it to the board for approval and get this over and done with. I can tell you though that McLaren will be given #37!

Agree, when you look down the list, walker, russell, murphy then livo, rather see someone like kennedy with 4, livo has really let that number down.
The club haven't really had a good strike rate when it comes to handing down famous numbers have they? Livo got 4, they bloody gave David Clarke #9 previously worn by Adrian Hickmont who was not a star but a bloody good player, and to top it off they give Davies #7, not to mention giving #2 to McKernan and then Harford!!! Come on guys get your act together!!

I would love to see young Brad Fisher running around in the great number 4, I think he would do it justice.

when Kouta eventually Retires it be the same with campo a rest for what ever year he dose retire. being a day 1995 and bouble Night Premiership 1997 & 2005 that should be worth a 2 or 3 year rest of no 43 :)
he's the only one left from 1995 & 1997

I nearly got them all right. As predicted no.5 was given to Kennedy, why would we hold onto it for Sammy Shelodn? He may be a dud - too far ahead to be holding numbers. I had Bower wearing no.9 and Saddington wearing number 18 - swap those two around and I had the rest, including rookies, correct.

Murphy & Kenendy will do those famous numbers 3 & 5 proud!

Am glad that saddington got number 9, at least he has a heart unlike clarke, and agree totally about number 2, but hopefully russell will make 2 a proud number again.
