Thanks JR63.

Pox on you Special88:p - I'm guessing the Riska pick is the one we still have in the bank.

Oh we still have one?

I thought we only got two? One used to get Karnezis and the other for Yeo.

I've always wondered, does a kick-in count as a disposal for the player's stats?

And therefore does it count for Dream Team points?

Only if they kick it to themselves first.

It does in Supercoach according to an interview with someone from the company earlier this year. I would have thought it'd be easier to determine in Dream Team given you get live scores, but I don't play that so I don't know.

Is it time yet for a Lions Dreamteam/Supercoach thread now the numbers and positions are all out (early this year, sure but still....).

Quigley, you must now be over all your excellent phantoms and up for it yet again??:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Below is a post from Irel from another thread and is something I get a fair bit on the Big Footy site and sometimes elsewhere. I realise that these boxes are numbers or icons, is there a programme that I need, or a setting that I need to adjust to stop this happening ?

Looks like it's the encoding.
In IE
click "view" > "encoding" > try something like "western european windows"...
if you have something strange selected like cyrillic or ISO, UTC-8, etc etc, some characters get mixed up..

In Chrome:

click the spanner, then tools, and encoding once again.

This may not be the problem, but would be where I'd start.

Thanks very much King and I, did not fix it but I appreciate your time. I will keep looking.

I just posted in the random thread and used a smiley face emoticon from the emoji tool bar I have on this iPad. Viewing the post it is showing as two ? Marks with black background boxes. Reckon this means the font isn't one preloaded on your pc so you get what it thinks you want. In my case the emoticon isnt recognized either bc if I type colon bracket. :) you see the smiley face. Well that's the best technical explanation I can give. Hope it might point you in the right direction.?

Thanks Lion Up, I will go down that path as well. It's not really an issue just an annoyance. I appreciate the help.

Where do Lions fans normally sit at the G.

I am trying to buy tickets for round 1 through ticketmaster.

There is an option for Brisbane supporters, so I selected that, and it's given me seats one tier up from ground level, behind the goals in the Ponsford stand. Not a huge fan of behind the goals, and more annoyingly, they are considered "premium tickets".

Ideally I prefer to sit somewhere on a wing but if behind the goals is what it takes to sit with the tribe, I'll do it, but just wanted to make sure that that is where all the Lions supporters tend to congregate.

Yeh I noticed they dont sell general admission at the MCG except for at the gate on game day, and there so called premium tickets arent all that flash for some people. That's what I will be doing- waiting until game day and sit anywhere you like. Last year the Bris cheersquad was behind the goals in the Ponsford Stand, Level M (Ground Level). One level up wont be much different to below, still amongst Lions fans, except for the fact the view will be a hundred times better where you are.

If you want the wing Id just recommend getting tickets on the day, won't be a big crowd so most of the ground will be open for general admission.

I'll be in GA on the 50 in sections 21 or 20, because that's as close as I can get to where I really want to be while also maintaining my cashless pleb status.

It is all about being there!!!!!!!!!

Tickets on the day TBD, cheapest way to go and the only way you will make sure you are sitting with Lions fans.

I have an AFL Membership so generally sit in the members area which is on the wing, but for this game, I think I will head to the Lions end. Not sure which that will be with Melbourne, but like LRL44 mentioned, I'd say it would be the Ponsford end.

The more the merrier to have a chat to Mitch!!

The Lions area at the MCG is almost always on the ground level behind the goals in the Ponsford Stand. It isn't the best possible view of the ground, but its good to be around lots of other Lions supporters.

Oh and that is a general admission area.

There are also premium sections for Lions members - they are usually one or two levels up in the mid tiers. They can be better for viewing obviously.

Is there any way to check who someone once was after they change their user name ... each time I open Ash's roster watch thread I see Man City Blues from Carlton and wonder who that used to be (pretty sure I would have remembered at the time if a Carlton poster had been give a roster thread to look after!).

Thanks

A few of the older players weren't allocated to anybody. MCB just started the thread off his own bat.
