Probably about right. Bulldogs would've been about 20/1 for the AFL premiership pre season wouldn't they?
Really? Would have thought they'd have been about 4-6th line of betting.

40/1 would be a stretch. The two worst teams this year are 21/1 and 34/1 and I don't think Adelaide were ever as hapless as Newcastle and Wellington are

If they were multi'd, you'd be well into the several 100k's.

Cronulla and WB were both over $20 at one point this season.

Definitely in multis. Was just saying nothing was like Leicester. WB really stretch that far? Crazy!

Oh yeah, AFL markets will never give those odds because there's a salary cap.

They did at one point. Didn't start that long though.

Even just being one of the longest odds possible in the comp none of the others compare to Leicester.

Adelaide were in the bottom 2 but always had Newcastle, Wellington and CCM who were a rabble go longer than them. Don't know enough about baseball were Chicago considered one of the longest shots history aside?

It's not so much the odds that make it incredible, rather the history.

Cronulla - had never won a premiership
WB - had won one premiership, 6 decades ago.
Cleveland Cavs - never won a title. Were down 3-1 against a record breaking side.
Chicago Cubs - 108 years without the title.
Prince of Penzance - Melbourne Cup horse paying $81.

The odds of some of those weren't that long but when you consider the history that had to be broken...and that list didn't include Leicester.

Yeah can't question the history of them at all. Just going into the seasons none came from where Leicester did going into it

No, but it's impossible for them to. You'll never be given those odds on an AFL/NRL/NBA/MLB market.

The Lakers and some of those bottom nba sides this year would be close to those odds

EDIT: Brooklyn and Phoenix at 501/1.

We were 5001/1. We were 10 times further back.
I reckon you guys have changed the game everywhere with odds for the supposed "worst" side. Brooklyn are no better chance than you guys were bookies are just scared of the what ifs now

Would they really be scared of long shots?

I reckon they made a fortune taking bets on Chelsea & City to win the league last season far outweighing the few big wins they paid out on Leicester.

They definitely made money on it being an outsider but still quite a lot of large payouts by being so generous with the odds. Reckon they've just held them back a bit after that. We're Hull 5001-1? SM would know this
