There's a difference between not liking far right policies and being a lefty, and we've been through this numerous times.
Yeah agreed - all I was doing was putting some context to your view of Trump's policies being repulsive. To the left, yes I suppose they are

They're clearly repulsive to other people who consider themselves right wing as well.

It's almost like saying that because I don't think socialism is viable, I'm a righty.

No. The repulsion comes from Trump as a man rather than his policies - which appeal to the centre and the right. The numbers supporting him reflect that

His economic policies are ridiculous and impossible. His immigration policy is unenforceable.

BBC has Trump ahead in all key battle states - but is that because his support got out and voted early? You should imagine a lot of Clinton will vote late after work

Not sure the time they voted matters when it's being counted after the polls close.

Ok. Are the polls now all closed? I think this is going to be tight. Still think Clinton by about 52-48%

Should say whether that is enough to win by seats remains to be seen - but I think it favours the democrats anyway the percent to seats ratio

The polls are closed but people who were in line when the polls closed are still entitled to vote. Some people are waiting in 3 hour long lines in some electorates so still plenty of votes to come in.

This looks like it's on a knife edge. I didn't expect that either. Thought Clinton would have a 55% share of the vote

Fair point, didn't consider how long some of the lines might have been.

lol it's gone a bit quiet in here. "Neck and neck" apparently

Hopefully Floreda doesn't succumb to Trump.

i cant see much changing even if trump wins
Perhaps the most sensible comment tonight. If he wins it will be the tiniest of margins, and he will be blocked in getting much pushed through. Plus, with politics, not a lot tends to change anyway

- Trump can appoint a Supreme Court judge which will then allow him to revoke a number of key judgements such as Roe v Wade, Gay Marriage, and others.
- Trump will be able to force policies through with executive orders that can override Congress if he is determined to do so.
- Trump can declare war on countries and merely has to inform Congress.
- Trump can re-negotiate trade deals.

All of which none is likely to happen. If he becomes President, he won't be anything like what he projected to be in the campaign. Sure, he will be the most right wing president for some time, but the world will carry on mate

A person like Trump having his finger on the nuclear launch button is the scariest thing for me

Not sure where I said it wouldn't. You and FAITH seem to think nothing would change, I was pointing out the things that he has direct influence on that can't be blocked.
