Meh, I'd been expecting him to die for a while, every other human pretty much has died or been attacked by hosts, and they were setting him up too much as all-powerful so something was always going to happen to him. He'll likely come back as a host anyway.

Really? There don't seem to be any plot points continuing into next season that are interesting at all, no real cliffhanger. The hosts took over the park. Ok cool. Who are our protagonists who are going to stop them? Why do we need them to be stopped? Are we just going to get a bunch of new characters? It will be interesting but there's nothing making me desperate to see the next episode.

Maybe I just don't get it, but my interest in this show has been dropping off a cliff week after week.
Agree with this to a degree. I'm still enjoying it but the first half of the season had me absolutely hooked while it has started to wane a bit as it's gone on. Started to get a bit ridiculous beginning with that episode the exposed Bernard killing Theresa and being shown to be a host. Reminds me of "Wayward Pines" a bit, not as bad though.

I think Ford would have instructed them not to kill William because he wanted hosts that fight back, but I think pretty much everyone else at that party would have been killed.

Also a massacre is just the killing of many people. I think it definitely qualifies.

Yeah I was more asking because you don't see any of them get killed do you? Just Ford. I guess to lose my mind over it i would have had to see it.

Meh, I dunno, I guess after the hype for the finale, and continuously telling myself the finale would deliver after I kept getting disappointed I was let down. Basically all the theories people have had since the show began have been right, nothing felt like a big shocking twist, because even if you want to call the ending with the hosts killing everyone a twist, we've had Maeve re-programming hosts for a fair few episodes now so we knew they were becoming malevolent, even if ultimately it was Ford's programming that made them attack people not her's.

Oh well, I'll probably still watch season two because my GF likes it.

SPOT ON. Wayward Pines had me hooked almost every episode, then the final 2-3 I just completely lost interest because it jumped the shark. I haven't even checked out the second season.

Same here, got it all sitting on the hard drive waiting to go but just have no desire to watch it!

re: Westworld:
Most disappointing thing for me is how Maeve can get away with so much insurgent behaviour in the labs without anyone noticing it on surveillance systems. I guess you could argue that Ford had "protected" her as part of his plan but then in the final ep you see the two other hosts killing people on surveillance video so it couldn't have been completely blocked. Nitpicking a bit but tends to happen when you start to become frustrated with a show!

Alright GG :P

Alright GG :p

GG didn't like it either? Haha.

I dunno, just being honest. It's not one of those "It's cool to be contrarian" type responses, I mean, I watched all 10 eps and did initially quite like it, but yeah I dunno..

I never heard you voice that but fair enough. Certainly seemed a surprise to most.

No real cliffhanger? For the first time ever, the hosts can fight back. There's a pretty big change to set next season up with.

Interestingly, it's rated really well.

http://www.businessinsider.com.au/w...ale-ratings-records-for-hbo-2016-12?r=US&IR=T

When the viewership for repeat airings, HBO Now and HBO Go are added, the night’s total rises to 3.6 million viewers, a 5% increase and another series high.

On top of that, the season averages 12 million viewers across all platforms. That’s the largest audience ever for an HBO original series’ freshman season, including the first seasons for “Game of Thrones” and “True Detective.”

If you don't like it now I don't think you'll like it moving forward though haha

The hosts have been able to fight back for most of the season, last episode Maeve almost killed one of the doctors by slitting his throat. Hardly a new event.

Finales are always going to rate well, as will season premieres. It's what it does in between that matters. Regardless, just because I don't agree with the masses doesn't mean a whole lot.

This is my all time favourite from Tom Hanks

There was a story he told when he was on Fallon that he got a call from Bruce, who was like Tom, wanna play guitar in my band? And Hanks is all pumped up and like yeah sure, then Bruce is like, oh I meant to call Tom Morello :D

Not inside the park they haven't. Not to mention that every host wasn't the same as Maeve. So yes actually, a new event.

No it doesn't. At the end of the day, you didn't enjoy it. Plenty did. It's neither here nor there really. I love it and watch it because of that.

I never said it wasn't a new event, I just said it was something we had seen before (hosts attacking humans). Hell in episode 1 Dolores slaps a living fly demonstrating that hosts can harm living things inside the park.

Childish Gambino album first thoughts

Me and Your Mama: very different but not that bad
Have Some Love: too different not a fan at all
Boogieman: again quite different way too 80s sounding
Zombies: sounds quite 80s but don’t mind this one
Riot: still too 80s but getting better
Redbone: not a fan
California: best one yet but still not really liking it that much
Terrified: what I am currently, going into each new track!
Baby Boy: best track for sure, says more about the rest rather than how good this one is
The Night me and Your Mama Met: thankfully only 3-4 mins to go after this ordinary song finishes
Stand Tall: everything this album won’t do

I know the guy is a genius but think he has been a bit too smart for his own good. Unless he is working on going back in time and dropping this album in 1983 or his target audience is to be a soundtrack for the adult film industry this is a massive fail

Haven't listened to the new album yet but there seems to be a trend of going back 80s style with some people. Never a middle ground it seems, it's either new age noise EDM shit pop rubbish or stuff that are way too vintage

EDIT: Just did a listen to the first few tracks and not liking what I'm hearing so far

Throwing it out there but 80s to me is by far the worst decade of music!
I want to change my voting - I no longer want to have a beer with you.

But we hadn't seen it before. Maeve can't be compared to those in the park. Dolores was more accurate but even then, she did nothing like that scene at the end.

I don't think we'll agree on this either way, we've both pretty much decided what we think of it haha. /SPOILER]

Maeve, a host from the park, attacking humans can't be compared to hosts from the park attacking humans? :drunk: Maybe I missed something because that scene clearly didn't have the same impact on me. The scene at the end where Dolores shoots Ford in the precise same way we had already seen her shoot Arnold?

No, Maeve attacked the humans at HQ, not in the park. It's different. The closest she got to attacking a human in the park was with her daughter and MiB.

Well that but also the hosts firing bullets at the human crowd. Had never happened before then.

Sigh. You're missing my point. But ok.

They fired bullets at the crowd? I must have missed that. I know they shot the MiB and the crowd was screaming cos of the chaos but I didn't realise they actually killed the guests.

I'm not missing it, I just completely disagree with it.

They didn't show human death but that was the implication. I guess you could believe that the humans just walked out of there but it's certainly not what I got from it.

Out of 10?
The couple of tracks I've heard were pretty great. But so different from his usual stuff. I like his rap game. He's my favourite rapper and from what ive read and heard, he barely raps on this new record.

He's SUPER talented though.

Will wait to hear the whole album, I'm a huge fan of his so Ill no doubt like the new album but probably not as much as his earlier stuff which is more rap based.
