I don't read SM-Jatz posts to each other tbh haha
Wait, never mind. That's Mortal Kombat.

I assumed it was Assassin's Creed.

Yes. Sick of the DC/Marvel superhero saturation. They don't care though they'd take in billions off them.
Agreed. Which isn't great if you're not a fan of them haha.

Mortal Kombat. Once Star Wars gets going I don't really read anything movie related
Oh right. That wasn't mentioned.

Never really played/come across Mortal Kombat

I was at first but I can honestly say I haven't been to one in nearly 2 years. Just seems to be the same stuff rehashed.

Agreed. I'm more a fan of DC as well but they can't put a good movie out to save themselves at the moment.

Yeah I used to like them but really over them now. Might see Guardians 2 just because I like those characters, but haven't had the slightest interest in Doctor Strange or any of the others.

Superheros will go the way of the western movie soon enough, over saturation of them is getting too much.

Talking robots - fair enough
fighting in space - makes sense
aliens - sure why not
strong female character - wtf this is just too unrealistic
TBH rey was horribly written character imo, she is too op and lacks the flaws that others have.

I expect her to get the shit kicked out of her in ep 8 though

Compared to Finn who has flaws but great development it just reeks of lazy storytelling with rey.

I have no problems with strong female characters but I do with badly written characters in movies.

So Rogue one had aliens wearing hijabs, rebel pilots flying planes into large structures, cheering with guns in the air when they shot down one of those droids. The agenda was clear and overbearing to say the least, that's ignoring the 90 pound chick kicking ass with a metal bar in one hand and shooting white dudes with the gun in the other.

You have issues.

There were some analogies the war on terror, dont get me wrong but the whole last hour was about in my mind a family tragedy because they were pawns to the empire when they wanted to be left alone, about the nitty gritty stuff of the rebellion that the original trilogy did not show.

Hell it even took a lot of influences from Dark Forces video game series

Smog's pretty crazy but they'll try to rectify it, they actually believe in climate change now (well they have to), it'll get better once they move away from industries

Wasn't like that when I was in Beijing pre-08 Olympics, was pretty clean then
They may clean it up but the damage that it has caused would be irreversible.

IIRC they shut down factories in Beijing for the 2008 Olympics to alleviate the smog problem / prevent embarrassment for China.

It's pretty devastating but that's the consequence of their rapid expansion I suppose, win some lose some. Hong Kong was like that when I grew up there, it was still very heavily industratialised then and I grew up in an industry area, air and water were brutal, but once they moved away from that it got miles better last time I was back

You wot? That's the one I've been looking forward to the most! And yes, I can safely say that I do like it the most, especially when one considers the film's laws in general, it is actually very well handled.

I'll tell you one thing, it does something very different compared to other Superhero movies. Watch it and find out!

Also, just saw this David Squires cartoon, and was reminded by what happened here: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...on-pep-guardiola-tackling-and-manchester-city

Yeah a lot of vibes with the Dark Forces games.
