In cases like this, you wish the campaigner gets locked up for life and the keys thrown away!!!!

Disgusting act, saw a video on fb where he was just driving in circles in an intersection with his head out the window, a few people tried to stop him, one with a baseball bat. The chase happened shortly after that, and then the incident which is truly sickening.

IMO.

As far as im concerned its a pity they only shot him in the arm. The guy should be in a freezer right now.

Might sound harsh, but in my book he has more than forfeit his own life.

Not harsh at all mate, he killed people, therefor he should die, I've always felt that if you deliberately take a life, you should lose yours.

Terrorist attacks are intended to cause the maximum amount of damage possible and don't reveal themselves until the incident takes place. There is no way that a terrorist would announce themselves by doing donuts in the busiest intersection in Melbourne which is within 100 metres of two separate police stations prior to an attack.

The right-wing will always try and blame things on terrorism to support their extremist agenda. If this had happened in America trump would have tweeted it was ISIS within a matter of minutes. This is the problem with the fake news phenomenon, regardless of the truth the fact that some media have broadcast the possibility it was terrorist related means that it will further entrench the hatred of muslims from some sectors of society. No one will read the details in a few days time and their minds are already made up. The damage is done even though the truth is it was an individual who was a criminal on the run from police with a history of mental issues and drug use (he was an ice addict according to friends), at the end of a crime spree that had involved kidnapping a woman and stabbing his brother in the face.

Dude you do the exact same thing by undermining anyone who disagrees with you in a political discussion as a "lefty". You also tell us that as Australians our opinion on Brexit related matters are irrelevant because we don't live there, yet are happy to tell us we are wrong about incidents taking place within earshot from where we live and work. You can't have it both ways.

Dude you do the exact same thing by undermining anyone who disagrees with you in a political discussion as a "lefty". So I call out a lefty, while you do the exact same thing by calling out someone as extreme right wing for even wondering if the event was terror related. Hypocrisy at its finest. You are so liberal that you've become afraid of even using the word "terrorist" out of fear of offending, which in turn just makes it easier for the terrorist to operate - something you fail to grasp in your desperation to label anyone who disagrees with you a racist.

And Islamic terrorism is global- hence why I commented. Brexit was a uk and Europe phenomenon
