Um, arguing that someone has shit taste in music or spends too much time watching box sets isn't going to lead to political violence or war. Don't mistake trivial shit for stuff that really matters. With politics, people need to listen to both sides and understand where people are coming from

I'm not saying she does that all of the time.. Just that a lot of what she posts is just to get a rise out of people. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. But she'll stick by what she says and act like it's true as most good trolls would

Spend some time in rural areas. Didn't know half my family were racist until my cousin brought home an asian bird to a family gathering.

When she left my aunts, uncles and grandparents started firing away. I had to leave the room cos i was so shocked.

There is one consideration which affects country people. A lot of WW2 soldiers were given farms in the country when they got hime from the war. a lot of those people fought against the japanese and have some pretty horrific tails of POW camps, etc. Those viewpoints are brought home and passed down through generations.

That's not an excuse for those views now but may explain some older country peoples views.

The cities are usually pretty clean in terms of racism but if you closely and know what you are looking for, there is a ridiculous amount of unconcious bias towards other races in Australian society.

I reckon most can relate to that. Inter-racial relationships aren't as taboo these days but you will always find some who are against them. I couldn't turn my back on family who start ranting about it though - just find it funny. That's not just a problem in white families though. I'd say Asians are much more against it than whites to be honest

Quite a few Aussies support Hanson and Lambie though, so it's not a stretch to think some who do are posting on here. There are probably more than you think, just Faith is happy to come out and say it where others don't want to be stigmatised by saying so. It's like that chick who came out and wore the Trump dress at the grammys. Took a lot of bottle to do that

Not a lot actually support Hanson and Lambie.. It's just that the demographic in their areas are the sorts of people who would vote for a Hanson & Lambie. Doesn't mean some like Faith actually believe their crap but I genuinely don't think she does

Trump is being attacked systematically by the left and he has hardly begun to govern. I don't agree with how he has totally handled things since being elected, but it's plain to see the left don't accept his victory and are out to scupper him. Watching his speech at congress, where he was on point and called for unity between the dems and republicans, and yet was met with stoney-faced silence at best, and jeers and heckles at worst, confirmed this and showed me what side is willing to listen and work together where possible .
