Hahahaha.

Tbh, I often feel small an I'm 6 foot exactly! 184 cm seems giant compared to some of the posters on here haha.

Is this your house btw? :D

It was at a GD meetup. Quiv was also there.

He's odd. Very tall - 6'6. Made jokes you'd expect to hear of a 16 year old.
Examples?

Edit: nevermind, I skipped some pages, thought that whole post was about me :P

So I didnt get the promotion (adding a International Sales Manager to my current job) but the manager wants me to take on more of the work at the very least until they get someone new (role will be vacant for 4-6 weeks at least) to give me more exposure to the role. And then once the new person starts for me to take on the handover slowly until the new person gets their head around the business & the NZ sales market for the first few months. Had a feeling they'd go down this path. Do I have a leg to stand on to ask for a pay rise since I'm pretty much doing the role for the next 2 months & heavily supporting for the next 5-6 months?

No harm in asking for one but I doubt they'd give you one. If they'd do that, they may as well have just given you the job.

Although it kinda sounds like they should have given it to you anyway.

"We don't want to promote you to the job, but what we will do, is let you do it for 6 weeks for the same pay you're currently on until we hire someone to do it".

I simple "get ****ed" would suffice I'd imagine.

The difference between taking the role on ($20-30k) and a 10-15% pay rise is still quite a saving for them. Cheap ****s

Also, definitely ask.

I love listening more intently to a song and noticing things you didn't before. Good pickup!
I strongly suggest you get yourself a pair of Bose QC35 headphones.

Your life will change.
