That was before bonus too. But a pretty standard wage for people on that level at the bank. The role is hard to define as such, it was the Director of our area of the Markets division.

Accountable for literally anything that haopens. Pretty crazy job, it was rare to see him not at work. A standard day for me back then was about 7am until around midnight give or take. He was always there before and after. Would never do that again, that's for sure.
were you working hard or was that just face time lol

That's alright. what are you complaining about haha

I'm not haha, I'm just complaining about a bad review on one of the occasions when I had to work until 10 and did so but worked 2 hours more than the rest of my team.

Such a strange comment
Not that strange. Essentially saying once you earn enough to live comfortably and afford a few luxuries in life then you should be feeling fine about things. Would obscene amounts of wealth therefore make you obscenely happy? Unlikely.

Yeah there is a point where money no longer matters

It takes a while, but eventually most people recognise it's not the most important thing in life. Some people the penny never drops though. I think Scrooge is one of the greatest literatures of our time

That is insane.

Was probably watching The Simpsons :D

Money is overrated. Once you get past around $80k imo
I tend to agree, though I think it's more like 100k. Once you're able to afford to send kids to "good" schools, afford a holiday or two a year and a nice house and car, you don't really need much more.

People always want more money, though.
Not necessarily true I think. Priorities change when you have kids for example. You want enough money to support them but not a job that means you won't see them.

2004/5. Well before FaceTime haha. Was never a long term plan, just did it for the New York experience and earn as much as I could for 12 months.

Much easier to do when not married, no kids etc. Now it's the opposite. Usually out the door around 4ish, getting to work around 9.30 and with plenty of table tennis in between.

What do you do for work again? Finance related innit?

And what was the NY role?

adel is getting more expensive, but its still pretty good.
sydney is nuts
What does she charge for a private gig now then? Can imagine she's pricey.

How much does Sydney charge?

saw her on mond @ Adelaide Oval, tickets cost $50-600
paid $150 mid range.

i meant adelaide in general is getting more exp, but i blame Cooldude relatives who come and buy property for almost double what theyre worth
lol I know you did was just trying to be funny.

Yeah we have that same problem in London. New properties are actually advertised in wealthy parts of Asia before they are to the locals which is a disgrace. That's the way the world is now with globalisation unfortunately.

How was Adele?
