It's a lot of work. I'm club secretary - lots of hard yards sometimes for ungrateful players. All worth it though when you de the club running smoothly.

It's the Northern Suburbs league up here, I'd say it's a decently sized league but we're definitely just about the smallest club in it.

It's the busiest job on the committee I reckon. Do it if you've got good people around you that you on the committee can palm little things off to if it does get full on

We've got 80 senior footballers & 200 juniors. Thankfully our juniors run themselves pretty much - do you have a juniors setup?

Nah no juniors. It was basically set up as an Old Boys' club - though I didn't go to the school - so it's really just Mens' All Age that we have, and then a small O35's squad.

I think it's closer to 80-100 to be honest, we have 4 teams I think, probably on average 20 in each squad.

Did it for my cricket club, didn't help that there was a spate of kids stealing drinks/cash.
Also didn't help that lots of bills needed paying by September/October and as a summer sport not much cash flow until early November.
