Good quality sirloin medium rare probably my favourite meal

Parma is the safer option. An avg steak is a bit underwhelming compared to an avg Parma

Completely agree. Which is why I only tend to order steaks at places well known for good quality steaks. Don't bother with them at pubs for the most part as they are generally underwhelming

Agree with that, and it can be really disappointing to get a bad steak on a meal out. A few places I know do a good steak, so I'll always go that or a mixed grill there. But a place I haven't tried before I wouldn't bother.
 
Steak vs Parma. If you had to pick a 10/10 one of each what would you go?

I order a well done steak, but only from places I know cook it well. At a pub or something like that it's always medium.

At home I've always overcooked steak, so rarely bothered as it didn't taste great. But a few months back my mrs cooked me one, only took a few minutes and it was perfect. Couldn't believe I've done it wrong for so long.
4 and a half minutes each side. BOOM!

A Parma even if originally a frozen schnitzel is at least going to be 5/10 so if I don't know it's a great steak that's always the go to
 
It's crazy. I'd have it in for 20-30 minutes and wonder why it tasted shit.

A medium-rare steak with mushroom sauce is top notch.

All I'll say is that a steak should only ever be 'cooked', rare. If there's no blood, you've overdone it.
