Spirit of Justice finally came out at 11pm yesterday (I don't know what the delay was.)

Done the first case prior to work, and I hate to admit, but there's just something extremely satisfying about taking an extremely smug 14 year old girl (treated like royalty in the country) down many pegs and teaching her a lesson that she's not perfect and that you're not going to take any of her bull.

Huh?

Ha ha, yeah, taken out of context, it sounds a bit suss.

From what I'm finding, Spirit of Justice seems to have a lot of characters that you really want to take down a peg or two, seems to be a common theme so far in the game. (It is a common theme in the Ace Attorney series, but gee whiz, they took it up a notch in Spirit of Justice.)

You ever had that in a game, you have that villain you want to be humbled for being an absolute campaigner? I just had that moment, and well, I'd say it makes for a very satisfying game when you can do that and with such style. They all come in different shapes and sizes, but they accomplish the same goal.

Wait what is Spirit of Justice? It sounds like a video game where you are a lawyer which would be terrible.

Press A to object or B to allow question to be asked.

Would you like to take the case. Press A for yes or B for no.

The excitement would never end.

15 years since 9/11. How time flies.
#RIP
I was 13, remember mum woke up the following morning telling me what happened, and I was watching it before school.

She unfortunately lost a friend who was working in one of the Towers. Had only been there three weeks.

You would think so, but there's a reason why there's 6 games in the series, 4 spinoffs, many cameos, and being an actual playable character in Marvel VS Capcom.

It's actually a very scarily accurate parody of the Japanese Legal System, which up until 2009, didn't have juries, and if you were convicted, you were basically declared guilty. There are even cases of prosecutors having undefeated records in the country. The themes also covered in the game are interesting and deeper then you think.

The biggest plus points of the series is the story and characters (some of the final cases of the game, oh dear god, fantastic!) As a visual novel, part of the fun is actually trying to get to the bottom of the cases logically, and in such a way that makes it feel very satisfying when you get over the line, and well, seeing the fruits of your labour come to reality (except that one case, which made zero sense from the start.)

I've just been marathoning the game (I hope to complete the final case tonight) and that girl I was talking, now I'm feeling really, really crappy with the events that have happened since. (And I have to admit, Spirit of Justice seems to have upped the game of some really sick buggers, definitely an step up from Dual Destinies.)

I will admit that nearly all of the cases you get are murder, but I think you can kinda see why nearly all of them are murders.

Alos, while I know you're making the X to pay respects joke, you can actually yell Objection at the 3DS if you really wanted to. (Also, there are some other gimmicks in the games as well.)
