Maybe WR will like DMA's? (All Poms like Oasis yeah? ) Everyone slags them off for being an "Oasis coverband" but I really like their stuff, and I'm not a fan of Oasis.

It's a pleasant enough post-Britpop thing. I mean it's stuff that is ok to have in the car as a background, inoffensive, upbeat song but it doesn't stand out or grab you by the balls. That's what I'm asking you guys to show me, something that demands your attention. 5/10

Ok I know this song because some pillock on X factor recorded a version of it after winning the show some years back. This one is better than the other one you posted, but sorry it's just too vanilla for my tastes. It makes Snow Patrol or Keane sound edgy. It's got a semi-memorable chorus though and I'll give it a 6

Arcade Fire I've heard of in glowing terms but I don't own any of their music although I have watched the odd YT video or two. There is a theme currently running with all these songs and that for me is a distinct lack of melody. They obviously go for a more atmospheric sound, which they are pretty good with judging by this song. Vocalist although not exactly distinctive does have something of his own thing going on. I don't know, this isn't bad and I can hear traces of decent bands in their music. Thanks for the lyric video, but I found those lyrics rather sappy. 6/10 for this.

I thought I'd give the National one a listen as that's another I've heard banded about. I can't criticise any of these songs I've just listened to as being shit - but on the other hand there is just nothing about the songs that give me feels or even a rush of excitement or awe. It's just as if rock has reached some kind of plateau and there's nothing new to be said or sound to be heard.

The AM one, well that's class, a bit of a shining light in a sea of mediocrity. Even though I prefer the recent AM album, their debut was one of the few times this new millennium where there was general excitement and expectation for a new band. 8/10

But saying Biffy make Snow Patrol and Keane edgy. Well maybe im showing you their softer side.



The ending of that track is just ****ing epic. But yeah everyone has their own taste. Biffy Clyro are one of my absolute favourite bands though.

I had a lot of shit in my last job. Problem is you gotta be cute. I ended up getting suspended because I launched a grievance against my boss - you can't beat the system. If this girl is your boss call a meeting with her, if not go to HR is my advice

Yeah told one of the older lady's in the office who I get along well with. She is going to mention it to HR. I said I was happy to, but she made the point, this way I don't get involved.

It was at the point yesterday where I didn't want to go anywhere near her desk cos the smell was so bad.
