They're all in Melbourne so I'm not particularly close with them (see them maybe once a year) but she didn't tell anyone until this morning. I guess because of the shock/sadness maybe.

Her 17 year old daughter was in the house at the time and tried to perform CPR for 20 mins until the ambulance arrived.

I have no idea how they move past that. I'm just in complete shock and I only met him on a handful of occasions.

Yeah that's understandable. That's a brutal experience for a 17 year old person, let alone anyone. Condolences again mate.

Yeah and I get that, but I dont really rate the skill of it much. I dont think you have to incredibly talented to be a baseball player. Just the pitcher really needs special kind of talent. I can run and throw and catch ball with a big glove on which helps and hit a ball.

jod23 jd2010 looks like Tyson Fury won't be fighting for a while. Has had some mental health issues IIRC.

We'll get the opportunity to see if Joshua is the real deal against Klitshko soon. Hope he knocks the dickhead out. Could be the first decent PPV for Heavyweights for a while and they desperately need a change at the top to reinvigorate the division.

I think a lot of people make the mistake of thinking baseball is supposed to be a kind of all action, all excitement, rah rah rah sport. It's not that and it's never pretended to be that. It's very analytical, it provides a million opportunities to second guess what the manager will do in a given situation. It has it's exciting moments for sure but it's so much more than that. Understandably, that's just something that interests people who look for other things in sport.

Similar to test cricket in a way, big chess game.

I bet you couldn't hit a 95-100mph ball 50 feet let alone the 300+ feet required for a home run.
Then there's hitting curve balls, sliders, breaking balls and it goes on.

I play cricket and I consider myself to have a strong arm. Nice powerful flat throws. I'd be considered a weakling in baseball terms.
Their arm strength and technique is exquisite.

And if you're going to judge him off what is played on mainstream radio, then more fool you.

And if you've ever seen a snippet of one of his shows, he's far from boring.

Mental health problems... haha **** off. Wont they strip him of belts if he doesn't fulfil his obligations. Firstly if a rematch with Klitshko. Klitshko wont be happy not to have the opportunity to win everything back.

I'm pleased you like him I really am. Everyone needs passions in life. Just to me he's so bloody dull. I reckon if I worked in New Jersey as a docker (if they still exist) then I might get it. Good for you though - I hope you enjoy the show and have those lighters at the ready
