Yeah Jatz the Westworld pilot was pretty good - did you notice 'Black Hole Sun' being played on the piano maybe halfway through? Took me ages to place it haha. Pretty interesting. I'm not a huge Western fan but the Sci-Fi side is keeping me interested for now, so will be interesting to see how it develops. Assume it's a 10-episode season?

Yeah I'm not much of a sci fi fan but it's certainly got me hooked.

Yeah the sound track was great. Loved paint it black!

Well, I did note earlier that aside from AR Rahman, I don’t have any loyalties to any musician, just whatever sounds good to the ear, which can span different genres and eras. I doubt you could find any real common link. For me, I do find a lot of joy in video game music, because well, I’m a fan of trying to match music to the current situation or mood (or trying to alter it if need be.)

I’m the kind of guy that would have any of the Cross Examination music from the Ace Attorney series or any of the Puzzle themes from the Professor Layton series whenever I’m working on something complex or studying.

Outside of that, I do take a liking to classical music (which again emphasises the ‘feeling’ and ‘atmosphere’ ) and I suppose cultural music tracks or world music (thank you FIFA and EU4), so I guess about… hmm, 75% of my music either is just music, or in another language (and there are some really beautiful and in some cases, meaningful foreign songs, especially once you understand what the lyrics mean in English (This might sound contradictory with the next paragraph).

So, the actual English lyrical parts, I’m not really one to go digging up philosophical holes (though there are certain elements that I might recreate for other purposes.) If the music and lyrics have got its own… well… ‘character’ about it, then its going on the playlist.

There is one common factor about my playlist, I will almost certainly have something for everyone, no matter their tastes.

Reminds me when my relatives came over, and I had to take them to Sovereign Hill for the day. I don’t need any talking, I just play the tracks to match the journey and conditions, and I’ll just go from there.

As for actually posting anything up here, I think most of it will be lost because well, as noted, I think I have more foreign stuff then I do English stuff. It’s not because I think the English stuff is lacking, I think its probably more because I’m harsher towards the material?

But as noted, if it sounds good to my ear, I'll give it a listen.

So I've just caught up with the latest Trump debacle, his 'apology' statement is perhaps the funniest thing about it. Classic deflection mode. He just goes on a rant and attacks the Clintons.

I used to think he was cool because of his 'The Donald' persona from The Apprentice, but having lived in New York shortly thereafter we pretty quickly learned what a campaigner he is. Extremely disliked.

The other people in this leaked video of him haven't exactly covered themselves in glory either.

I dont like a lot of car racing. Even F1 can be boring because it's so unfair.

MotoGP is cool though because there is more actual racing with overtaking and stuff.

Sometimes in F1 whoever takes the first corner in 1st win the race. Exciting! Haha

Don't mind it. Reckon they stuffed it up in the early 90's by removing the Nissan GTR's because they were kicking arse. Became very boring until the last couple of years.

Watched the first ep of The Get Down. Not a big show watcher, but this interested me a bit.

Set in the 70's in the Bronx, about the fading out of disco music, and the introduction of Hip Hop. Dont mind it. Anyone else watched it?

Disappointing, thought Coulthard should've stayed out and at least try to defended the lead. He would've had enough fuel to see out the race. Instead, just a 5th and 6th for DJR. It certainly got chaotic at the end as one could expect from Bathrust.

Also, is it me, or is the shoey becoming the traditional Aussie driver's drink of choice? First Moto GP, then F1, now the V8s!

Little disappointed Webbo rejected it the 2nd time around (he did his share in Belgium.) Still lots of fun on the podium interviews, mind.

I dont get Shoeys, they can give you thrush, golden staph, e coli etc. Is it just a bogan Aussie thing or did it originate elsewhere?
