Highest play count up to 2702. Where has the last few years gone.

I have one of those. :)

iPod Classic.

Mine was an iPod Classic, 120GB I think.

Loved that thing. Was crushed when I lost it.

Ok so the very first one that came out? I don't recall it being a colour screen so that's why I asked.

I had one of the iPod video ones. Was at a time when I traveled frequently, as in ridiculously frequently. I loaded about 50 episodes of The Simpsons from its glory days, watching them endlessly on planes.

It did me some great service. No more so than when we got into some trouble once in Thailand (long story, classic set up of drugs from cops wanting a bribe). Offered them the iPod (and showed them how much Simpsons was already on there) and thankfully that was that.

Nah, there was video then Classic I believe.

Also while I'm here, has anyone got either the new iPhone or Samsung? New contract will start soon and I've had a Samsung for the last 4 years but am thinking about moving back to Apple (for simplicity reasons more than anything else).

Anyone got any recommendations?

I believe you can get spotify on apple products now so that solves the music issue.

The memory now comes as 32, 128 or 256 gb. 128 is what I'd go and is double the size of the samsung I currently own.

I can't believe I'm even considering it but every reason I moved to Samsung in the first place appears to have been rectified since.
Yeah the memory has improved on the new iphones (finally) which is a big step up from their previous models, they still charge you a significant amount more for a 128gb model than a 32gb model though (~$15 per month when I had a look recently) which is much more than the cost of a micro SD card to chuck in a Samsung.

Spotify is good but it also uses up your internet data, I prefer being able to download music on my home internet and then transfer it to the phone so I can play it at work and while commuting without using 4G (I currently have something like 4000 music files on my phone, a lot of them being 60min+ mixes/compilations). All depends on how you use it though, if you primarily use Spotify then these things are pretty irrelevant to you!

You can do the same with Spotify. Just download your playlist at home an it doesn't need to stream it while you're out an about. I've got heaps of songs on there.

If you want to find new music while you're out, you have to stream it then.

Only if you have Premium.

But it's so worth it IMO.

Oh right. Yeah I do, $12 a month or whatever it is. You pay that for one album - now I could download so many songs for the same price!

Me and the missus were looking for a new show to watch last night. Mentioned I really want to watch The Sopranos and I have it downloaded, but only in SD. She then came up with the idea she could buy the Blu Ray for me for Xmas.

The more I think about this, the more I want to watch it now. I know everybody thinks it's great and it's considered one of the GOAT, genuinely excited lol. $120 for the Blu Ray on eBay for all 6 seasons.

I find even when I download things in 'SD' they still look pretty damn good on the screen, have you tried watching? Or else I'm sure there's another download you could find.

Yeah I never bother downloading TV shows in HD unless its either something with crazy special effects or sport. A show like the Sopranos you would barely notice the difference I'd say.

I download GoT as a 2 GB file or a 600 MB file and I can't notice any difference. And that's a pretty visually spectacular show. Maybe it's something to do with how my TV reads the files or something.
