While I don't think Trump winning is a good thing, nor was I advocating him, we don't actually know how successful, or terrible his term will be.

I will judge him at the end of his term, because right now, he has done nothing.

If a party could get itself together well enough to fight the established big 3 rather than just getting 2-3 seats max it could be happen. Actual PM no chance. But a party to get 10 seats and grow isn't unrealistic

There was supposedly all of this footage from The Apprentice all those years ago that (allegedly) had him saying much worse things. About women, sex, blacks etc.

Was really hoping that leaked out too in the aftermath of that bus conversation but it never happened, must have been some serious manoeuvres in the background from his team to silence those who had the footage.

As for the 'they let you do it' part, sadly that's a sense of entitlement that comes to many who strike fame. Whether sports people, or musicians or whatever, fame and money can get to your head. And they think they can get a way with anything or that they can bang whoever they want to.

The 'locker room talk' excuse really runs a bit thin when you're 60 years old.

Clive Palmer/One Nation etc all don't have the resources to make it last. Even if those parties do well in one election, they normally fail in the very next one.

Saw this on twitter earlier - pretty telling. I read something a few days ago that suggested there would be a bit of a 'white-lash' after Obama's 2 terms and the changing world and times we live in - essentially angry white voters backing Trump. Possibly what swung the election?
