Was definitely born in the wrong era. 70s music was the best for me and what I enjoy most. I do like the 80s, it spurned some absolute classics but at the same time served up some absolute dross. The 90s is also great, of the 'big bands', Oasis is the one I like most, and Pearl Jam to a lesser extent. I prefer a lot of the one hit wonders from the 90s, was too young to remember a lot of them growing up, but my late teens/early 20s I rediscovered a lot of them and loved them since.

I only like a couple of Radiohead songs. I don't see the mass appeal for them, but alas, each to their own.

Here you are, these are some of the first wave of house/acid call it what you want tunes before the scene became over-exposed. Some of these do repeat but that's cos they were made for mixing and you'd never really hear more than three mins of each track in a club

Nice. Sounds like the stuff i used to dance to at raves in the early/mid 90s.

jeez what did I miss?!

Is everyone forgetting about Nirvana in the early 90's? Changed the musical landscape in the 90's!

Radiohead are geniuses. Those of you who do not like them probably haven't listened to the more "accessible" songs of theirs to start your love affair with.

I'm going to see Angel Olsen tonight. You guys should check her out and I saw Julien Baker last week and she was amazing! Both highly recommended!

God awful bands. May as well say Nickelback.
Dire Straits were very good early on. Their debut self-titled and Making Movies are all killer no filler albums. Brothers in Arms is where it all started to go downhill with cheesy crap like Walk of Life.

I properly hate Coldplay, that whiny music just does nothing for me. Can't stand Powderfinger for the same reason.

Have a bit of a soft spot for Dire Straits though as my dad (now passed away) used to play them a lot in my formative years.

Every decade has had some good stuff and bad stuff.

90s had Metallica's black album, Nirvana, Primus, Oasis, Alice in chains, RHCP, add in some hip hop classics like The Chronic, Liquid Swords, Only Built 4 Cuban Link, Beastie boys ect

Not many better rock/heavy metal albums around. Just absolutely brilliant.

Yep for hip hop the 90's is and always will be the undisputed champion.

Such a shame they did not bring out an album in the 2000's :straining:

Not enough Rage Against The Machine love on here. They've stood the test of time well and some of their tunes are absolute classics. Never forget seeing them live. I guess you could call it hip hop rock but not sure exactly what genre it goes in!!!

I didnt go mate. Was too broke. :(

As for music. It's all subjective. Some people will love the 80's and others the 90's.

I grew up in the 90's so Oasis, Nirvana, Garbage, No Doubt, Jebediah, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, RHCP, Silverchair, Michael Jackson, Metallica, Marcy Playground and all the great rap and hop hop too, Snoop Dogg, Nate, Wu Tang, Beastie Boys, Dre, Tupac, Biggie, Eminem, Warren G, Fugees, Nas, Jay-Z etc etc...
