Why do they want to make a video game a movie anyway?

Apparently in this instance it's because they used elements from the game that just come off as weird and stupid in a movie.

I think they had a giant mechanic claw thing as the animus, how does that even bloody work?

To be honest I haven't really played the games, I tried one and it started where I was exploring some island then suddenly I was in the future and I got confused and stopped.

Might fall into this point but I feel like 'Hollywood' is running out of ideas for movies these days. Most of the stuff that comes out at the moment is end of world/aliens/comic book related/rehashing old movies etc.

I used to love movies but I think TV shows have gone straight past them.

Yeah they can be confusing, need to play them from the start, but AC's plot is designed to be cinematic, it's pretty hard to **** it up

We've talked about this point heaps but the fact remains there are dozens upon dozens of movies that come out that are original, interesting, good movies. But no one goes to see them. Manchester By the Sea, La La Land, Allies, Arrival, etc. are all coming out/have come out that are all original concepts. How many of them are you planning to see?

I think it's just the CGI era and people just wanna make use of it so loads of big action/sci fi/supernatural movies
