Still not entirely sure what your complaint is. Do you seriously go into action movies hoping that the bad guys win for once?

I do, quite often. I get bored with the good guys always winning.


The one film where I was so desperate for the bad guy to get his comeuppance was an Aussie film, Wolf Creek...

Well it's one of the reasons I don't watch many movies now, because they are cliched and you kind of know what's going to happen anyway. Hollywood is the worst for that

Action films are definitely the worst for knowing the outcome. I suppose it's all about the "journey" for those type of films as you know the final destination.

Don't get why people love all that comic book stuff either. I caught a bit of that "fantastic four" on the box last night. What a complete load of shit it was

That's widely seen as a terrible film so perhaps not a great example.

Check out Logan, I think you would enjoy that as it transcends the genre and doesn't fit the cookie-cutter plot that we're discussing.
