One of the worst covers ever is pretty hyperbolic I'd say.

Yeah probably, I guess its just not to my taste. Gave it another listen, but it doesn't do much for me.

I'm one of the lucky ones whos seen it live(the orig), fingers crossed they bring it back to Oz now they are playing shows again.

What decade do people reckon was the best for music in general?

90’s, purely because of the nostalgia I get as I grew up during that time.

Weirdly enough though, I don’t mind music from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s era, think the Fallout games have a bit to say with that though lol.

A live RATM show is a hell of an experience. Only seen them live once but it’s something I’ll never forget.

A very long story though, it was during the Rock The Bells (I think it was called) festival in North America many years ago. They were headlining the festival along with Public Enemy, Wu Tang etc.

Caught their show in NYC, was lucky enough to be invited backstage. Long story, but had met de la Rocha and Tom Morello a handful of times before that (as clients, we had made them a shit tonne of money via some investments we sold them). Anyway, as a thank you they’d invited a few of us along.

Some of the shit I saw backstage was next level. The look on my mates face as Method Man offered him a joint. That was always a standout (he was a pretty clean cut kind of guy).

The show was ridiculously good. Bulls On Parade brought the house down, they finished with it rather than Killing In The Name. Some tracks are just enhanced when you see it live (The Prodigy I put in this category too).

Anyway, it was a hell of a festival but after the show, when the groupies came in, holy shit. Funnily enough when I saw de le Rocha at a later showing, he said to me “who the **** are you?” Classic. Loved it.

Yes I’ve read they’re touring again. Nothing announced about Australia though as yet unfortunately.

Haha that is amazing.

I just thought it was a cool story.
Yeah, but I was replying to the post that said “you’ve always got a story for everything...” which I think we can all relate to someone we know

Just read about that monster from Brisbane who torched his three little kids alive by locking them in the back seat of his car. I have no ****ing words to describe how ****ed up and evil that man is. Just shoot the campaigner, bring back the death penalty just for him and abolish it there after

Probably the most heartbreaking case of violence I have ever read. Truly horrifying final moments for those children and their mother. :(

This is one of the detectives take;

“We need to look at every piece of information and, to put it bluntly, there are probably people out there in the community that are deciding which side, so to speak, to take in this investigation.

"Is this an issue of a woman suffering significant domestic violence, and her and her children perishing at the hands of the husband?

"Or is it an instance of a husband being driven too far by issues that he's suffered by certain circumstances into committing acts of this form?"

I mean how heartless can you be? There is victim blaming and then there is that. Absolutely shocking.

The guy who torched his family was a professional rugby league player wasn’t he? I wonder if he suffered from CTE. To commit something so f’ed up and so evil there has to be something wrong with their brain.

‘yes he was. From a very naive, outside position, it smacks of Chris Benoit scenario. But I’m completely uninformed, so will probably be corrected on that...

Those are very poor comments to make, wow.

What's also been interesting are the headlines for this. I first read about it when I clicked on an article with something like "Footy star and three children die in car fire". About halfway through the article, when I saw the inclusion of the Lifeline, Beyond Blue phone numbers, did it actually register to me how misleading that headline is. I've seen many similar headlines since.

The bloke committed a murder suicide, wiping out his entire family. Speechless. Just horrendous.
