Gee RHCP put on a great show last, not enough 'old' songs for me personally(BSSM and before) but they were tight and having a ball.
Now that was an album Chef, full of classics. Californication very good too, but BSSM my clear favourite.

Great lyrics too, before they were forced to tone it down.

Here where it says, "What I got you gotta get and put it in ya," how about just, "What I'd like is I'd like to hug and kiss ya."

So who's the England love rat that the English papers haven't named?

It's strange as usually they go after these types, so he must have a bit of $$$.

Some people hate the thought of growing old to the point they don’t want to reach it. I may be jumping the gun but Keith seemed like one of them to me.

Last week we also lost Mark Hollis. He was an absolute genius with a voice to match. My favourite band from that era

Seeing The Eagles tonight. Wasn't planning on it, but a friend had a ticket available for a reasonable price and I thought why not. Probably be the last time they're out here too.

Very sad news about Keith Flint, was always a troubled soul. Damn. Happening far too often unfortunately, depression does not discriminate with who it affects.

Not the Prodigy’s biggest fan (Invaders Must Die is epic, admittedly), though I’m deeply saddened by the news. Just horrible.

Whoever is reading this; if you’re struggling, you are more than welcome to reach out to me. Seriously, don’t ever hesitate. DM me. Everything discussed will remain 110% confidential.

I don’t mind who you are, or which team you support (yes, even you Chelsea & Spurs fans). I’m here if need be. Football/sport isn’t that important, when it comes down to it. I’d happily watch Arsenal get relegated if it guaranteed that everyone on this board would live out their lives void of this illness, or any other for that matter.

You’re a good person Thomas. And I totally agree that sport is such a mundane subject when it comes to the real life.

Over the last couple of weeks we have seen a change in my Dogs behaviours, not eating properly or as active, and yesterday he started coughing and convulsing his body (like you would if you had the hiccups for example). We took him to the vet and there it was discovered through blood tests that he has an autoimmune disease and he’s anemic. His Hematocrit (HCT) counts are down to 19.2 yesterday and in the 17’s today and the target is between 37 and 55, so they’re dangerously low. We were given take home medication yesterday which he started vomiting up (it’s important he keeps them down) and now he’s at the animal hospital being treated by specialists and he’s been given blood transfusions and the medication intravenously. It isn’t looking good and the specialist has been talking like we should prepare for the worse, which I cannot even begin to wrap my help around. He is only 9 years old. As a family we have said that whatever it costs ($700 yesterday and a minimum $2500 today) we will pay, so we can be confident we did everything.

It is painful, it really is. When my first Dog passed away in 2013, that was painful but we had another Dog that needed love and care. Now this happens and earlier than we thought it would. If he was even 11 years old, I would say okay, he was older and unwell. But at 9 years old it is horrible. I know that probably sounds selfish when there could be people on this forum who have lost Dogs or Cats much younger.

I am sorry for the wall of text. But if I didn’t get that off my chest, I might have exploded.

Don’t apologise! It’s an issue I’m sure all of us can understand/empathise with. A beautiful thing it is, the bond of friendship which animals/humans can share - the concern, the grief you’re feeling is only to be expected.

My thoughts are with you & your family. Praying that he pulls through and makes a great recovery.

Take care, and keep us posted.

Thank you, Thomas! We received a phone call tonight around 5:30 from the specialist. He said there are some positives, it isn’t cancer, a tumour and his red cell count has jumped up from 17 to 25 which is good and he hasn’t needed a blood transfusion. But it seems to be a rare form on autoimmune disease that they can try to stabilise with medication. If they can stabilise him, he won’t be in the clear but we can try to maintain it.He’s going to stay in overnight to be monitored by the night staff and we will receive another phone call tomorrow morning. Now all we can do is wait and pray.

As you can tell, he is cheeky.

Update: We received a call from the doctor and his red cell counts are still dangerously low (they got it accurate and it’s 20.7 now). They suspect it’s a rare form of bone marrow disease or even cancer (that means chemo and I can’t see us doing that as it would too painful for our dog). They’re going to draw bone marrow and see inside his stomach to get a better idea of what it is. They’re going to try to stabilise the blood with steroids to see if we can bring him home to do the same. But he could relapse if the steroids stop.

You think you can prepare for this but I am not. It has just happened out of the blue.

I am trying to. It is hard, though. I can’t think straight.

I will try to think positively and now it’s in the doctors hands.
Please do try and think positively. I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for you. He’s in my thoughts and prayers!

I will do my best. From what I know they have ruled out a lot of things but the disease he has is rare and that is what the bone marrow check is for. We rang our local vet who has the report, she said that the red cell count being that low is worrying. It’s like the bone marrow is destroying his cells.

And although this has happened suddenly, he was literally fine looking on Monday morning and then he crashed, I know and have seen it happen quickly. A couple of months ago my Brother came over in tears and his partner told us that that afternoon they took their dog to the vet because she was feeling very unwell, it was discovered she had cancer and they had to put her to sleep. One moment they’re fine and the next this happens. I am sure you all do it anyway but hug and kiss your pets. They’re your family.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate it so much!
