I have been listening to Hallelujah a lot today.

While Jeff Buckley's version is the most recognisable and probably most famous version for those of our generation, it was in fact Leonard Cohen who penned the song.

Buckley put a completely different spin on it with a stripped back, and much more mellow and emotional take on it, compared to the original by Cohen. The chorus in Cohen's version is backed by what sounds like a choir with big, booming voices. Combined with Cohen's voice, they combine spectacularly to raise the song to new heights and for me, and gives me a great sense of happiness and I find it to be rather uplifting.

Leonard Cohen's version is something I will be looking to get much more accustomed with.

John Cale's version is aboslutely flawless too, IMO.

Going to assume everyone likes Jeff Buckley's the most?

Why is Tax Law so ******* boring.

This is super relevant to work for me and I still can't bring myself to be interested in it.
Hint Hint - Never do International Business law. I still find myself questioning why I even picked it as an elective in the first place:rolleyes:

Well I'm doing CA at the moment.

Auditing wasn't too hard - the core concepts are just commonsense logic - but it's sooooooooo boring. Comfortably passed that.

Doing Financial Reporting at the moment. **** this shit - I'm going to fail the way I'm going.

Do you know what sort of area you're interested in getting into? Been leaning towards professional services myself.

Not too sure. Doing an internship in Audit at KPMG at the end of the year which we'll see how that goes I suppose.

Best of luck with it, I know most of their audit vacationers went on to get graduate offers last summer (at least in their Melbourne office).

Yep that's the vibe I get. Still have no idea what I actually have a passion for and I kinda just keep shuffling along the path.
